Yatta, minna! My channel's top viewed video was "Mega Man unlimited 4 special characters", something like that I don't remember the full name. But that video, surprisingly for me, was on the top since 15.03.2020 (for 1654 days), but today this video caught it with 66347 views. This video was uploaded after almost 2 years of that video. I was very surprised when unlimited's video got so many views, it was my 31st video, and this is my 276th.
I'm glad Capcom never felt the need to give Mega Man a jump sound effect, only a subtle landing sound. As much as I love Mario and Sonic, you hear jump noises CONSTANTLY in those games and it can grate a little after a while.
@@alexanderisrael2715 the shot sound effect in MM1 & MM2 are different from MM3 onward are different, it’s a big higher pitch originally… gets a bit lower in tone starting in MM3
I like it when Mega Man has the MM2 sfx(s) over MM3's especially I like how 2's enemy damage sounds to. I wish more fangames gives him more with those sfxs besides using his mm3 ones.
I've always preferred 2 and 9's victory theme to 4-6's - its mellow-er mood always made made me feel much more accomplished. 10's is a perfect in-between!
Hurray! My first video ever reached 1k likes. I thought the other video would reach 1k but no, it reached 999 likes then down to 994 likes. What a surprise!
@@DSN.001 Sorry if this confuses you, but I meant a sound effect of Mega Man sliding on a surface. If that’s what you’re saying already, then I apologise.
@@WyattW_ no need to apologize here. I have never heard a sound of sliding on the surface for 8-bit mega man games including hacks and fan mades as well. But I think MM7 and 8 have sliding sound which this video doesn't show due to being 16&32-bit respectively
@@DSN.001 Ah I see, thanks! I’ve searched through some Mega Man 7 and 8 sound effect videos already, but i don’t think it is in there. I might not have seen all of them though, so I’ll check more!
The closest that I remember Mega Man coming to a sound effect for sliding is probably the sound from Charge Kick in "Mega Man 5", which makes a kind of soft white noise sound.

Mega Man owes so much of its identity to these sound effects. They really stick in your head in a way a lot of other games struggle to do.
I really like the 'teleport out' sound from 2,9 and 10 cuz it reminds me of the little animation from Mega Man 9 on the Wii home menu, good times

Except he actually got a jump sound in classic 8 and X4 through 6
For years. YEARS. I have been called crazy for thinking that MM3 introduced a worse sounding (imo) buster shot sound effect. Today I am VALIDATED
The one from MM3 is far better.
It’s true, not quite as good
sorry, which effects are you talking about exactly?

I'm convinced that the boss door sound from 3-6 has been used as a sample in a lot of modern pop music.

And Mega Man The Four Hounds is one of them.
I think 2’s SFX work better for smaller enemies while 3+ fit best with larger enemies/bosses
@doodledangernoodle2517
Yeah, Robot Masters should have the MM3 buster SFX (especially MM1, 2, 9, 10 Bosses) for some that can shoot.
Ohh shit someone finally did one of these! I always liked the variations wish they could be randomized together ;-;
0:30 Fun Fact: this sound effect is also used in Fix-It Felix Jr. when you collect a pie.
0:13 = Yup, thats a instant kill...

I didn’t know DRN.003 (Cut Man) can perform a taunt. I thought it was just a detail added to him in Mega Man Maker.
No, he does it in the original Mega Man 1, but you wouldn't know it since it's his animation after he hits you with the Rolling Cutter.

1:14 VICTORY :D
You should listen to the Road fighters victory theme.
So pleasing to the ears. Capcom nailed the sound effects to a T.
All of Mega Man 1's sound effects are pitched up by one semitone. Could that be just how the OST released it?
The OST released the sound effects seemingly from the PAL version? Watch gameplay footage and compare
Some of the sound effects are also strangely pitched up in the Japanese-exclusive version of Mega Man 4 (in the Complete Works line).
The landing soundeffect is so much better in 1-2-9-10.
I always lamented the fact that the damage sound effect went from a satisfying "crunch" to the equivalent of a robot sneeze.
0:13 No!

Esto es oro puro, te mando un abrazo amigo 👏🏻👏🏻
Just what I needed! Thanks 🔥🔥🔥
Huh... didn't realize there were so many differences between the games...
Pure timeless classic sound effects ❤❤❤❤❤

It looked like an unused enemy from MM5.
@@leandro88888 It is actually "Peat" from MM6. I chose him because he is a very special enemy indeed, anti version of one of our sidekicks, "Beat".

Isn’t it odd that Megaman loses the ability to Charge his Megabuster in Games 9 and 10?
They probably removed because there must be meaning of existence of DRN.000 in the game.
