The Real Alax, that might actually be true indeed. But still, improvising on your own song is not that difficult, making it not difficult to come up with better ideas from time to time on your own songs. Still amazing though.
ryan mccarty different genre but John Mayer does that as well , they arrange music in a way that's a bit open with loads of ways to improvise with new stuff .
Guthrie came to India last year and I went to see him. So the concert was in a café which was located on the 3rd floor of the complex. When Guthrie arrived at the ground floor, the staff announced people to settle but everyone ran towards the entrance and the backside of the Café was deserted as everyone went towards the entrance and I was the only one who settled down and then suddenly Guthrie came in from the fire exit and I was sitting right next to it. I instantly got up and for a moment he looked at me and said you might be the smallest guy in here (I was 16). We talked for like minute and a half and I asked for a photograph and he showed me that T-shirt (which I hadn't noticed until now). While making his way towards the stage he jokingly said you can't drink alcohol today, young man.
After years of study and hard graft I was finally nearing the level of skill and musicianship of my hero’s, then this bastard Govan comes along and ruins everything for me!
I love how in most of Guthries songs it's basically just everyone doing a solo and he can combine it into an amazing song where every instrument shows what it can do to its greatest potential
appart of their interpretations (which are great)... what a great audience they had that night! super excited crowd :) that's always nice to hear, it gives everything a new ambience!
Not his mistake, the rhythm section messed up. He was giving the band a cue to get to the next section, but they didn't, so he had to continue improvising over the same groove. Split second save.
in the rock fussion ..I listen a lot of time to Greg Howe. so for me this is nothing new sound very very similar to Greg phrases ...I prefer the original. Greg
thats because guthrie has musicality while yngwie lacks musicality. both are very technically skilled but the ability to play 10 notes a second wont get you anywhere if all youre doing is shredding without feeling
the problem with Yngwie (if there it's any) isn't that he plays one song the same over and over, but that all of his songs and sound alike. He's still a great player though!
ipojuca22 no judging on yngwie he is a beast .. but it's just the same harmonic minor and Phrygian dominant many times ... guthie has theorical knowledge of satan
i think the problem with super talented musicians is that when you put them together, they don't jive so well. you can feel the friction between them because they're all kinda doing their own little things. the aristocrats group jives way better together than this one. obviously really good nonetheless.
Man, I thought I was the only one that noticed that. If you watch more of this series they drop form a couple of times too, he got payed either way at the end of the day.
The Aristocrats: - have been buddies for years - write the songs together - have toured the world extensively together - have decades of concert experience - are brilliant and have a seemingly telepathic connection These guys: - are only 20+ years old - are together on stage for the first time - have not been around for too long on the concert circuit Nevertheless, it's great that Guthrie and other prominent musicians are supporting these young, amazing talents. It's simply refreshing to listen to them, and a good thing if they try something new. They are the future, and people like Guthrie know and support that.
It always blows me away that Guthrie never plays his songs the same way twice.
Riight! hes always growing
i actually think he messed up tho, he always messes up on this song but it still sounds amazing
ya right
The Real Alax, that might actually be true indeed.

After years of study and hard graft I was finally nearing the level of skill and musicianship of my hero’s, then this bastard Govan comes along and ruins everything for me!

Mohini Dey 🤟
I'm a guitarist, but I must say, that drummer was on point AF!
This feels to me is one of the best live versions of Wonderful slippery thing. Everything seems to be on the point. Just perfect..!
And to top it all, they have Mike Ehrmantraut as one of the sound guys...
I believe this is Kris Claerhout from Jellybeard who is in charge of The Aristocrats' tour booking in Asia.
His flow is infinite. When you think it can't get better, it does.
I love how in most of Guthries songs it's basically just everyone doing a solo and he can combine it into an amazing song where every instrument shows what it can do to its greatest potential

We were enjoying all this..and then rain ruined everything. But i feel so lucky to have witnessed this great trio that too in my own hometown. :)

Guthrie's Charvel signature model is amazing to play. I recommend we all get one.
That is the sickest trio I've heard for a while! Please do a tour!
Best trio for me are Guthrie, Marco and Bryan.. :)
Cyril Panshine These two are not even close to Marco and bryan, the aristocrats is the best trio by far...
Best trio exept for Motörhead ;)
lol marco and bryan all the way.
This is a cool tasty song! amazing dude!
Proud of you Mohini 😊
Hiper trio!!!!!!!
They look so casual
Mohini dei, a beast playing bass
4:03 haha the look on guthrie's face, was like is there any harder pieces to play.
Mohini is one pretty indian girl. . She's simple and respectful and not liberated in her look. .
ikr, she’s gorgeous and very talented
I want to know personal
anyway, very wonderfull!
Wow this is one of the most incredible performances I've ever seen!! Who's this alien bass player?? 😮😮
She is Mohini Dey.
The Bass player is Mohini Dey, she's pretty awesome \m/
Would love to see Guthrie playing with Stanley Jordan. That would be completely out of this world.

At @3:41 Guthrie make a mistake, but Guthrie never make mistakes.
Not his mistake, the rhythm section messed up. He was giving the band a cue to get to the next section, but they didn't, so he had to continue improvising over the same groove. Split second save.
Who is the bassist in this song?
+Albin0 Kr0we mohini dey..

3:57 Hey Guthrie
3:57 Heyy human
Bryan Beller looks different in this
nice
he does not seem very happy with the entrance of the bass and drums in the bass solo part.
fuck man.....so groovy
Guthrie is = to or greater than morning wood
What name the music of Guthrie?
in the rock fussion ..I listen a lot of time to Greg Howe.
so for me this is nothing new
sound very very similar to Greg phrases ...I prefer the original.
Greg
Somewhere I read Greg Howe was a huge influence on Guthrie's career.
markko812 Greg Howe is amazing! My favourite player as well. There's no solo like GH's on "stringed sanity". Still love Guthrie though!
olha o abu la no final do video kkk
hendrix still kill the nerdy guys of today...
Let’s don’t forget. The equal and unrelenting bump-it-up drummer man. Find him. Study or just enjoy his arc. Nice...
Here’s the original version... th-cam.com/video/5FDMc9Kcwbk/w-d-xo.html

This band > Aristocrats
Max Danx lmao, no
Guthrie never plays his songs the same way twice: "wow, genius!"
Yngwie never plays his songs the same way twice: "shit, he sucks!"
thats because guthrie has musicality while yngwie lacks musicality. both are very technically skilled but the ability to play 10 notes a second wont get you anywhere if all youre doing is shredding without feeling
Hubert Cumberdale Yngwie's pretty musical man...
Hubert Cumberdale Also, Yngwie has a ton of feel. The man is full of passion, even Guthrie has said so before multiple times.
the problem with Yngwie (if there it's any) isn't that he plays one song the same over and over, but that all of his songs and sound alike. He's still a great player though!
ipojuca22 no judging on yngwie he is a beast .. but it's just the same harmonic minor and Phrygian dominant many times ... guthie has theorical knowledge of satan
Jesus don't make mistake.
Hehehehehehhehehehehhehehee it means vagina hehehehehehhehehe
와시발 죽여버리네 그냥
Nope. The fan picking blow it.
i think the problem with super talented musicians is that when you put them together, they don't jive so well. you can feel the friction between them because they're all kinda doing their own little things. the aristocrats group jives way better together than this one. obviously really good nonetheless.
Shtumpy Marco and Bryan are much more talented than these 2, so your statement is false, the problem with them is not enough experience....
Nathan Carrille My point was it's hard to find talented musicians that jive, not that Marco and Beller aren't talented.
I guess that comes with playing together a lot...
Man, I thought I was the only one that noticed that. If you watch more of this series they drop form a couple of times too, he got payed either way at the end of the day.
