this thing is excellent. i have wanted a compact , chiclet style, low profile keyboard with a volume knob forreeevveerrrr. this one finally took the cake. im getting really used to typing on it and im zooming like crazy. it makes me WANT to type. it's insane lol
If they cannot cross communicate (back then). I refused it. However I created that capability to have that open function. Disabled,, now I create 3rd and 4th generation smart “assist” devices.
I am a 40yr computer engineer tech. If any device has USB port for dongle with firmware to run the dongle connection OR BLUETOOTH IT SHOULD WORK UNLIMITED DEVICES. OF COURSE HAS SCREEN AND TYPE CAPABLE DEVICE. USUALLY, BLUETOOTH IS BACKWARD COMPATIBLE ON VERSIONS unless product owner has firmware to purposely block different version connections. When flip cells first came out. I had it swapping data with pc, palm pilot, external storage, I added Bluetooth to keyboard (probably first one). Also mouse. Flip phone had what….? 2 or 3 inch screen? Lol. I integrated all of it to. “BOSE” speakers. I had Dolby sound, palm pilot, flip phone, pc compatible(windows,Linux, any OS)PORTABLE music player, movie storage/player before the devices were created to really “do” those tasks. Every time I flew commercially, people watched me get all items out, power on, connect wireless and all devices together I updated them at once, typed on all at once, the movie blew everyone away with “BOSE” QUALITY SOUND.
so the option key covers windows key AND control key(on right side of spacebar) creating 2 option keys and 1 control key but my preference is 2 control keys 1 option key. how to fix this? also the keys above the arrow keys. i never really ever got them to do anything or to work. what are their uses and how to use them? outside of that i love the keyboard. beats even the apple magic keyboard due to price. beats folding keyboards that take too many shortcuts on the layout to reduce productivity. this keyboard gives best of most worlds overall. my opinion. my typing speed amd ability to use keyboard shortcuts generally is greatly inhibited on folding keyboards i type 80 wpm on this jlab keyboard and about 25 wpm on my folding keyboards also they shortcuts are messed up by eliminated f key row or placing 3 keys onto 1 key making me press fn key this greatly slows my speed down alot of times they keyboard shortcuts wont work if the fn key is involved for some reason. another stat is durability its suprising durable travel alot with it without a protect case i remove the knob and pretty much its never gotten damaged still functions well.
Thanks for sharing your experiences. I don't think it lets you customize keys or key placement, but... if you wanted to try hacking it I bet you could get into the keyboard driver settings and remap keys afterwards. Good luck!
Really sucks for windows through USB It completely malfunction and if my USBs on my computer didn’t have protection it would have fried them Other J lab products have been good but this one is absolutely junk The USB receiver would not get signal with the keyboard if I had it plugged on the back of my computer so I moved it to the front case And that’s where it malfunction
You're talking about a different product, Aidan. This is a *wireless* keyboard so why would you be plugging it into your computer? If you want to charge it up, just plug it into a wall charger for an hour and you'll be good for another 7-10 months of wireless use.
Are you talking about the tiny dongle you can plug into the USB-A port on your computer? Can't imagine how it could have damaged your gear, but did you reach out to JLab customer service when you had it malfunction?

No backlit?
Not a feature of this keyboard. Most wireless keyboards omit backlighting to extend battery life...
So they have one for a Mac?
It'll work with the Mac right out of the box. No special unit required.
@@AskDaveTaylor yes!
Cant connect to xbox
