Now that certainly was an amazing hike with one beauty of a look-off!! Not a bad place to stay for the night at all!! And look at that morning...one wondrous sight for the eyes first thing in the morning!!
@@wendingourway Thanks Bruce, it’s a great hike with some stunning views when it’s clear out. I’ve been wanting to stay in that particular spot for a few years but it’s kinda close to the road so it’s better to wait for the off season.
Nice hike and what a beautiful fire lookout! We haven’t hiked there, but we should! Awesome views of Rainier, wow! I guess the advantage to sleeping in the truck is easy and quick clean up! I tried sleeping in my car before once, lol, I prefer a tent too!! 😄👌👍👍⛺️
@@JenniferLupine It’s a short hike but has some great views and there’s lots of places nearby to camp. Sleeping a tent and being able to stretch out is definitely more comfortable but at least now I know I can make it work in the back of the truck. Thanks for watching.
thank you for another nice adventure and nice to see the Frontier in action. You definitely have a bit of snow in your corner of the country. We are dry in the North East specially in New Jersey / Pennsylvania and NY City : no rain for the last 30+ days and counting : no precipitation in sight, neither rain nor snow, not cold enough yet, we have some warm days again here and there, my last hike Friday I was short sleeves in t-shirt and didn't even bother bringing a jacket, there was no need, it was around 25 C (76/78F) most of the day. Cheers and looking forward to more snow adventures as you move into the season (here we are not apparently...)
@@scottalpine no rain in sight for now, everything is yellow, we have a fire ban super strict, no open fire no barbecue even in your backyard ! even using power tools is not advised (such as chain saw and blade cutters etc even lawnmowers -- though for those it's not a problem : there is nothing left to mow anyway. But a fire ban in October / November ? ! Specially in New Jersey, garden state where everything is usually so green because it's usually wet and humid !
WooHoo, rising early this morning so I was the first to view! Think I gotta go do that hike, its one I never did. I wonder how kinked up you were in the morning, hopefully it was comfortable enough in the back so you can do that more often. Better than setting up a tent...Nice sunrise. You do find some nice places to camp.
@@easycamperdandog Thanks. It’s a great hike and there’s a ton of places to camp nearby. It wasn’t the most comfortable set up in the back but I made it work, I can stretch out much better in a tent though. Being tall has its disadvantages.
PS : and nice catch of the commet ! I couldn't see it here, even though in theory I had an opening in the sky where it was supposed to be: too much light pollution in my suburban town (New York City and all that jazz nearby)
It was fantastic to see it. I couldn’t see it with the naked eye but took a guess and got it the Milky Way and Mt Rainier in one shot. Not too bad for a cell phone camera.

Wow that is quite warm. Definitely still tshirt weather. Hopefully it’ll at least rain a bit soon to help keep things green.

@ I’m hoping you get some rain soon, gotta keep the Garden State green.
