This is a great, great build and although I'll never build it, it was great to watch from beginning to end. You have mad video editing skills along with a great skill at not only designing but constructing a very sturdy and long lasting bench for your Onefinity. Well done!!
Cart is 67 5/8 long and 20 inches deep. Rotating table is 48 wide by 47.5 deep, 2 7/8 thick. Tall part of cart is 44.5 tall without the 3 inch casters. On the rotating table side it’s 6 inches from the bottom of the cart to the top of the shelf piece so the opening for a drawer is 4.75 inches tall. The pivot point is 24.5 inches off the shelf so with the depth of the table at 47.5 it has just a bit of clearance to rotate. The taper on the end is actually not needed and if I built it again I wouldn’t bother with it. It’s cosmetic. I positioned the machine such that the stepper motor is within the width of the table top so it has clearance to rotate all the way around if needed. The end wall is two pieces of 3/4. When it's in the folded position does the 1F stay tucked in far enough to not have any rails exposed? I finally received my onefinity and am looking for the right method to mount mine on. I too am limited in my work space and was thinking of ordering their optional fold up system but it's not being shipped until late September (here we go again) and is $670 . With the cost of lumber today I'm not sure if your way is that much less though. Any ways, nice build on yours. If I decide to go that rout I'm going to use flat mount pillow block bearings. Other than that it would be about the same build.
The table has to fold a bit past vertical in order for the X rails and Z slider to be not exposed at all. My main goal was just to be able to reduce the footprint when needed…so I’m not super concerned about that. If I had thought it through better I would have not cut the 45 degree parts off the right side support and brought the pivot point forward…would have made it easier to have the X and Z better protected when rotated to the back and just rotating to the vertical point. Hardest part of rotating it is that the machine is so dang heavy…lol. Was easy without the machine attached! The 3 sheets of plywood were about $175 for the cheapest 3/4 they had at the home center. I think it’s still cheaper to build than to buy the setup from Onefinity. I’m sure once I use it for a while I’ll figure out how I would make it better but it will do for now! We’ll, I’ve never actually flipped the table upright for storage or to gain floor space so I’m not sure that part was worth the trouble. I also think having the machine enclosed would be worth the extra effort and material. It’s a very loud machine…lol. Overall I’m satisfied…it is nice having the overhang on each side to slide stuff under without having legs in the way. The machine itself has been completely worth the cost too. It’s paid for itself twice with stuff my wife has sold on FB marketplace. Thanks for watching!
I like your design elements on this CNC table. I’ve seen Fisher’s shop design as well and have a build underway as well. Did you put pipe all the way through? I’m not going to route power like his. I was also wondering how to do a build without the legs or legs without t-track. Anything you would change now?
Thanks! I did not run the pipe all the way through…just a 6 inch section on each side. Only a couple things I would change. First I would not bother with the angles on the side support, then I would offset the pivot point such that when the table was rotated back the top of the Z axis was within the width of the sides. As it is now I have to rotate it past vertical in order to get the Z motor within the width. Not a big deal but having the pivot moved forward would have been a better setup for me. I don’t need to flip it all the way over to use as a work table…I just need it to fold up to take up less space when I need to make a little room. Thanks for watching! 👍🏻

Very nice design!!! I’m doing research for a table while my machine shows up. Is there anything you wish you’d done differently or would like to incorporate now that you’ve had the opportunity to put it to the test?
Thanks for the compliment. The design isn’t original to me but I am happy with how it turned out overall. I think I would maybe make the table a few inches wider as there is not a lot of room between the cabinet and the machine if I ever wanted to set up drag chains for cable management. I would also offset the pivot point so that when the table is vertical the Z axis is within the width of the cabinet. With the pivot centered I have to rotate the table past vertical in order to protect the Z axis because it will stick out wider than the cart otherwise. Not a huge deal…just annoying. I don’t rotate it much to make it worth redoing now. I would recommend the longer cable extensions though. I need to order them myself! Thanks for watching. 👍🏻

Hey Dan, could I give me a bit more information on your table? 1: overall length, width and height of the actual cart 2: about how high did you add your pivot mechanism from bottom of cart and is your end wall tapered in that shape so the stepper motor clears during pivot action or will it clear without the taper? 3: Your laminated end wall is it two 3/4" pieces glued up or is it 1 inch doubled up? Looks thick on video but I cant tell for sure. Thanks for your help once again. Bill

The design is based on another video I watched from Fishers Workshop I think it was and also some similar setups I saw on Instagram posts…so it’s not original to me. As for the measurements and such it was just pencil and paper and making things up as I went. I built the top first since I knew how big that needed to be to fit the machine and then after that just sort of built what I felt made sense. The taller section was made to at least fit a Festool CT15 on the bottom as I have it in my head to use one of those for dust collection…although I have not purchased one yet…lol. Good video. One question, what was the dimension of the bottom piece, I was wondering the depth of the cabinet.

What size is the rotating table? and what Onefinity machine did you purchase please.
Table is 48 wide by 47.5 deep. The CNC is the Onefinity Woodworker. Cutting area is basically 32x32. Thanks for watching.

No kidding…this was the “cheapest” nice plywood I could find at nearly $60 a sheet. Crazy times! 💸
