Recently purchased to experiment with - use case is a pre-Lightroom vehicle. Essentially an Import substitute (more correctly pre Import as still need the LR Import of course) and some editing and retaining LR for its DB (catalog). Started my first experiment and found this video useful.
    Thanks.

Great, I have an archive of 10 years of photos I want to cull / edit / caption. If I use FRV to browse and cull folders of images edited by Lightroom and change rating / caption or mark as reject will FRV update the Lightroom XML sidecar file or generate a new one? Any compatibility issues? It would be great if FRV would show images in subfolders as well. LR does that

Trivial comment, but I would expect the Keyboard Shortcut menu to be under Preferences and not under File. Would you not agree?
ps: Excellent program, just purchased a license!

Will this open CR3 files? Can we then convert them and rename them? Is there an update to this product? Thank you.

+Carlos Dominguez Gonzalez Happy that you liked the video. FRV currently doesn't have this function, though we might add it at some point.

Why not copy images from the SD card onto your hard drive before opening FRV rather than calling the images on the SD card In my inexperience, seems like getting the images on your hard drive allows you to keep the files on the SD card as an initial back up in case of a hardware failure. Then, work can of course be backed up appropriately.

    Me again.
I might be premature but looking at the otherwise apparently excellent manual there doesn't appear to be a description of a workflow? I'll persevere to see if I'm correct.
