Cool idea! I think if I were to make a copy of that myself, I'd add some sort of C channel to the end so it can just slide over the step in either orientation (full table or step & table)
That was my original thought process. The clamps were faster, but the bolts and wing nuts would work too and save money. Thanks for watching and for the comments.
Just thought of another way you ""Might"" be able to add another shelf@@creationsbycarson. On the very top take 4 or 6 metal L or corner brackets & screw them to the sides of the very top that sits on the tire & slide in a piece of plywood. Extra shelf.
Once you build the top shelf drill a hole through the wood & into the top folding part & slide the rod/light holder through & that will even keep the shelf from moving as well @SubaruSleepingwithCarson

That’s a great idea! I need to work on that modification. Much more streamlined. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You just keep surprising us with your ideas. How about 4 bolts & wing nuts instead of the clamps?

@@tpseeker3367 That sounds like it would work. The construction of that step is solid and would support some additions.
All you'll need next is some sort of spot to hold a rod you can bend yet strong enough to hang a light from@@creationsbycarson

Love the video and content! Nice work! We may use this with our Outback build! (On our channel 👍🏽)
Fantastic! Thanks for watching and commenting. Subscribe if you’re not already. I am editing the video now for my 88” folding platform.
