no yuffie is wutai resistance. nothing to do with avalanche, remember avalanche at this point is already being run by rufus. as a way to usurp his father.
@@dariyanvalentine3564 I know that Avalance is run by Rufus. Yuffie infiltrate Midgar and are with Avalance members in the trailer. You can see in the Trailer that the girl with the glaces have the Avalance logo on her shirt (it's the black strip with the red Avalance A followed by S.O.) . You can see it on the "Hey Moggle" guy as well, allthough it's pretty difficult to see. Ha have a green strip on his clothes with G. red Avalance A and R.R.Y. The other members in the hideout scene are probably also Avalance members including Sonon who have a Wutai background. My guess is that Avalance will double cross her or sell her out in the DLC and that's why Yuffie decides to mess with Barrets Avalance branch and therefor also the main party in the main game by hunting them down outside Midgar and steal their materia.

I don't get why are even expecting the sequel already. It's been one year and the next part will be the open world part.
The most time consuming things like engine/lighting optimization, combat system, UI, character modeling/animation is already done, but even then they won't be able to rush it out in a year.

Surprised nobody picked up on the battle version of wutai theme. It plays during yuffie's fighting the centipede robot.
I got scared as I thought they had a new take on a certain cat, because of the moogle suit.

As someone who has never played the OG FF7 nor the Remake (waiting for the PC version), but have played Crisis Core, beat it 3 times and cried like a baby all 3 and also played Dirge of Cerberus back in the day and LOVED IT, I'm hype AF! Seeing Weiss and Deepground soldiers in this trailer reminded me of those good old days with my big CRT TV, discovering the Final Fantasy franchise by watching Advent Children and then going nuts on the internet looking for more information until I played Dirge of Cerberus which was my first FF, so I'm really interested to see how they are gonna connect this.

A ps5 upgrade alone would have gotten me excited but new content and yuffie... such a wonderfully pleasant surprise. Can't wait to revisit that game when I finally get a ps5 :)
Making dirge of cerberus (and thereby Gackt) is a *BOLD* move by Nomura. This man has been out of control ever since Yozora.
Well, not everything is his decision, especially when it comes to FF7R. He also isn't the main director anymore, but still has the same amount of input as he had before.
The whole compilation stuff comes from Nojima, probably same with the ending sequence and Hamaguchi wanted the Midgar Sephiroth fight.
Each character gets a story dlc so if Vincent already had cannon story just make it dlc instead 9f stand alone

I put about 300 (stoner) hours and 3+ playthroughs before deleting all my saves and starting over because i loved it that much and wanted to consolidate all my saves. I've been waiting for this announcement to finish and start my legit hard mode run

Also, Episode Yuffie is PS5 exclusive (will be made available to those upgrading from PS4) for those wondering.
Total speculation on my part, but with how Intergrade is being marketed, I get a feeling it and Episode Yuffie will be a timed exclusive to PS5 (as in, don't expect it to be in the PC or Xbox release). Just a strange hunch I have.

@@franjaff6919 He is the director, but not the writer and not everything was decided by him. Hell he didn't even know that he would direct the game before it was announced, yet people blame him for outsourcing it and taking so long and it being multple parts even though that was already decided by higher ups.
And also judging by the interviews the whole ending section was definitely more on Nojima's and Hamaguchi's end.
Nomura is the one who wanted to keep FF7R as close to the original as possible.
Nojima wants to include all the compilation stuff, Hamaguchi wanted the Sephirtoth fight in Midgar and Kitase wanted FF7R to be an action game without any RPG elements or elements from the orignal. Nomura insisted that we actually get the Hybrid ATB system and that they keep materia and other things.
People seem to forget or just don't know that Nomura and Sakaguchi wrote the original concept story for FF7 and then Nojima based the script off of that. And Nomura designed every character, enemy, npc, boss, area, limit break and story board.
It's weird how people still just say he is the KH guy when he worked at Square since FF3.
@@kwedl I know the business decisions aren't on him, but he's the director of FF7R's first part, so he's fair to hold accountable for the trajectory of the remake moving forward.

I don't know why people are butt hurt about the yuffie situation. FFVIIR had a lot of issues being on ps4. It ran well enough but texture issues, long load times, saving took forever plagued it. Most likely these issues couldn't be solved so they made it ps5 only.And for that i am not upset. Ps5 is hard to come by right now, but the dlc releases in June. The situation will be better than now. Not great mind you but better. And the dlc is not going anywhere. So even if you are late to the party with it, it will still be there. Do you want all the issues ffviir had for that dlc? No? Then ok.

oh honestly...this is coming out in JUNE, 9 months after release, they'll be findable by then, just have some patience.
I didn't play any of the spinoffs but anything that gives Yuffie a bigger role is a huge thumbs up from me. She's my favorite character in the game and her absence made me a little less invested in PT1.

I'm surprised the dlc will be PS5 only seams an odd move when most people can't get a hold of one even if they wanted one.
Might be a way to test the market for part 2. I personally haven't seen any ps5 games yet that made me want to get the new console, but I really do wanna see remake with these enhancements and see what story elements are added with yuffie. I def am in the market for one now whereas before I didn't care too much.

the upcoming episode is new side content, yuffie was never in midgar in the original.
But, i replayed the original recently and left midgar at around the 6 hour mark, beat the game at 32 hours, give or take, I'd imagine part 2 is the rest of disc 1, with discs 2 and 3 split into 2 more games.
Granted...given what happens immediately after leaving midgar, it is possible part 2 is just a vastly expanded version of that sequence that incorporates elements of crisis core.
Regardless...i think it has to be at least 3 more games, there is just too much content left.
@@terencecaron2922 ehh...its a relatively good stand alone, but its very much a part 1, not a complete arc. Very much like the xenosaga games, they don't feel incomplete without the others like the old .hack games, but...definitely not a full game/complete story either.

nah, just some dlc while we wait on that, part 2 is likely a 2022 or 2023 game, especially with 16, a 14 expansion, AND Athia all coming in the next 12 months.

Play through it, it's done. no replay value. Battle system is prime for a multiplayer online battle royal if they 'll ever put that in.

I bought a ps4 specifically for ff7r and now I can't get this episode because I can't afford to buy a ps5 and don't want to buy ff7r again? This announcement has me more pissed by far than how people were pisses off by the Diablo immortal announcement a couple years ago.

@@KalebDaubMooshra The door of the HOME of the main char is obviously something you see more than once and always up close. funny thing was...the texture of the door never loaded in, for any player. nobody has seen that door textured so its just a low poly mess. a pretty huge oversight for something you see so much in game.

There are similar texture problems throughout, but yes, the door is the one that most people noticed. It's essentially a level-of-detail issue where a low-detail version that would typically be used from far away remains in place even when you're right next to it. -Bloodworth

It's not like you create the assets looking that way. There is clearly an LOD issue which should usually be a really easy fix, especially in UE4,
