Jamaica, Queens near Hillside and Jamaica Avenue has some great shops and a diversity of people.
Great to see Hillside Ave and Jamaica featured in a walk. I worked at the central library about 20 years ago. There was a great little Haitian -Dominican bakery in hillside around 170th. The are a was a little more west Indian back then...love seeing all the diversity in our NYC neighborhoods. 💕New York
Chez Jacqueline
@@joyhanson8654 thanks!
We live in Italy, we follow his work diligently, we often live on the streets and we know the technical and physical difficulties that this type of media interaction imposes on us. Your work is fabulous, in my opinion it deserves an award from the city of New York.
Thank you very much!
Lovely collabs.. its a great initiative to join with other residents fr these walks. Grt walk with @Nycwalkingshow👍
BEAUTIFUL view of some of the best areas of Jamaica , the houses are gorgeous
I m surprised how nice and beautiful is south Jamaica! Wow! Thank you for this tour :)
It’s really nice to walk and explore the neighborhood with someone like that
Hello guys! What think about this walking? th-cam.com/video/rFarTJpZdiA/w-d-xo.html
It was such a pleasant experience!
That guy is very friendly perfect to walking and discover NYC ..
It’s good to put a face to The NYC Walking Show, Sifat I watch your channel a lot and really enjoy it.
I love these videos so much. I love New York City because of all the wonderful, talented people here. They come from everywhere, and of course NYC even produces them itself. It's always fun to see what they are doing. Action Kid is one of the new generation who is helping to keep NYC great. In this video he teams up with Sifat from the NYC Walking Show for a really fun tour of Jamaica, Queens. It was a beautiful day for a walk.
Your videos are uplifting 🙂 all this positive energy during a hectic year. You and your friends bring so much joy to us all 🌞
Good to see friends do a neighborhood walk together. As Mr. Rogers said, "It's a beautiful day in this neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor...So let's make the most of this beautiful day."...And you both did just that.
Awww what a sweet guy. I love this walk! Action Kid, I love how you are always walking with different New Yorkers and helping boost their channel. You rock!
Thank you so much for showing us your wonderful city! Greatings from Alicante (Spain)!
Great walk. Cool perspective between the both of you. Keep up the great content!
This young man is extremely charming.
Hi from Bangladesh, Tariquddin is here.. it is charming to hear Bangladesh mentioned by action kid !! Thanks for the video ! Thanks to shifat for supporting !
I went to hillcrest high for 2 years way back in the 80s before moving out of state. It seemed so much bigger when I was young.
I grew up a mile west of the area you toured in Jamaica. I still recognize some of the buildings. I wish you had mentioned the historical churches on Parsons Blvd. and Kings Park. Great video overall. 👏👏
What an awesome video...especially enjoyed the two of you.....What a nice change....enjoyed it very much, Thank you again for sharing....💃🏽💃🏽
Thank you so much for uploading this!! So many memories walking around this neighborhood as a St. John’s student/student teaching at Edison high school. This neighborhood looks much cleaner than 12 years ago!!
The area has been wrecked by corruption, at every level. It's an open secret.
Those who built it are Disrespected beyond belief.
Wonderful video I loved it thanks!
Thank you for video showing Wow! Beautiful house and a lot of the tree very quiet and nice place! Safety!
Hi AK great video! Love that you bring us that knowledge of every corner of NYC. Keep up the good work👍👍👍
I used to live a few blocks from Jamaica Estates, off Hillside. Thank you for the tour!
30 years ago, I used to come up from Philly every year to the church Tabernacle of Prayer 13:40. The block hasn't changed. It's a beautiful building inside.
I remember going to that bus terminal to take the bus to Nassau to go to my best friends house when I was a kid, a lot changed around there since.
I very much enjoyed this and listening to the both of you! I grew up in Queens Village (close to Jamaica) but now live in Ohio. Nice memories of the neighborhood, thank you
thank you for sharing NYC with the world. I love to walk around through your camera.
Lived in Jamaica Queen's for a year, I used to eat in this food court, thanks
Hey ACTIONKID that's what I enjoy about your walks bringing in some one that's a resident for the areas for a up front and personal insight enjoyed
Very nice video Actionkid!! 🤗🤗🤗
Great Vid! and @The NYC Walking Show you just gained a new subscriber.
Beautiful Walking with you friend 😍🙏
Mister Softee's ice cream truck music is what I miss hearing, I moved south 23 years ago. Jamaica ave has always been super crowded, it doesn't look crowded there now. We had more mom and pop stores to shop at and that was wonderful. Big box stores ran them away which was too bad. Only in NYC do you have so much diversity.
Awesome video and collab, ActionKid. Thank you!!
Yet another lovely area of NYC 😍... oh boy, I wanna live there! 😊
Nice walk and very nice company. I really enjoyed it! Thanks to both of you.
Keneth has to bring him more often. What a nice, smart, good wave. Loved
Thank you for exploring Jamaica.
A.K. very good video. Your guest is a very humble man. Your last 2 guest were very good. I agree that you have the NYC walking videos all yours 💪.
awesome Forbes article! you inspire many. well done and stay humble ✌🏽
It's a lot busier than I thought it would be with all going on...Love & miss the food..
Hey cool! The NYC Walking Show, very nice to see him with you AK. Nice Collab.
I really enjoyed this stream. Thank you ActionKid and Sifat!!
This is a great video....small suggestion for those power outages....get a small portable power generator and solar cells. I got a pretty small power unit for cheap but haven't purchased a solar cell yet. The power unit will run a laptop all day & charge phones for days.
Hes so kind and I love his comments
🏃🙌🗽great video ,nice area, great guest A.K.thanks to you both!!✌🙏😏
love your video. that court house you were talkin' about on your walk up from Parson's Blvd? it used to be a court house. it's repurposed now. the family court house got moved to Jamaica & 153rd like 10 years ago.
Phil Wynter you’re right, I think it’s a “ luxury” apartment building called Moda
Pleasant guy, Enjoyable walk.
Enjoyed this walk and talk with @The NYC Walking Show, AK! Liked Sifat's lion metaphor and "Do Not Disturb" phrase to describe the current vibe of NYC.
would love to see Sifat's garden. Thx for the video AK..love you xx

“I’m Walkin Here”!! What’s up Kenneth!
Thank you for the great collaboration video.
I like Actionkid he gives people a chance to start their own youtube channel and promote them as well. What a wonderfull human being.
Loving the collaboration! What a great idea.
Hi Kenneth and Sifat,
First, I truly appreciate your content and hope you run into you both one of these days (I'm a resident of Sunnyside, Queens).
I wanted to say that I just recently purchased an electric kickscooter to prepare for the fall, when I will return to work as a public school teacher. I want to avoid the trains and buses as much as possible. I have been riding the scooter around and, although I am used to cycling for my commutes, it is still an adjustment on the scooter. As you said Kenneth, the scooter can max out at 20mph, but as a New Yorker during this pandemic, we have to be aware of the conditions of the road, with more cars and cyclists and scooterists out and about. Therefore, I agree with your advice and have been sure to not ride above 15mph on the roads most of the time.
Thanks again for your time and effort in creating these videos, to you both.
Andrew
59:32 very beautiful homes ,gardens and street trees 🏡 🌲
Hope you guys pick another neighbourhood to walk and talk through!!
my friend lives there
That’s mostly north Jamaica and Jamaica estates. But if you go to Jamaica avenue and then keep going till u get it liberty avenue it’s all different.South Jamaica it called.
He seemed very friendly :) take care Ken:)
Excellent video , you both make a good team ..
You walked right past the recording studio where The Run DMC artist was slain. The former Lowe's Valencia
movie Palace (now the Tabenacle of Prayer) across from The Alden Theatre.
That area has been almost All Bangladeshi for over 20 years. Indians/ Pakistanis live in the Hills and the Estates, Trump's old neighborhood. There are still alot of Indo Carribean residents there, Guyanese, etc. He didn't mention that.
So Trump is actually Bangladeshi? That’s pretty surprising tbh
@Richard Head Demographics changed but it is still as Seedy as I remember. Hustlers abound around there, from all over the City, Long Island, etc.....
Correct spelling is Caribbean.
Thats good.. Nice to know the other side of the story of life in New York by means of the opinion of your guest.. Thats nice ActioKid.. Keep on vlogging..
Awesome Video 😍🙏🇮🇳
Nice Trip! I lived in Jamaica for many years
That's my old neighborhood! Even though a lot of people are out, the vibe seems a little more somber.
I live in this neighborhood and didn't know that park with the lake is there. Thanks!
Great!!! More power
I wish there were more walking videos in some of the other cities...such as Chicago/Boston/Miami/Houston/Philadelphia etc. Especially during these times when shutdowns and the slow progress to regain some sort of normalcy. I understand how important/popular New York is to the world...but other cities would love some of this attention so they can get more motivated to improve their economy/rebound.
Timothy Williams where you from? You should do videos like this
@@4DaFam I would if I could. I'm disabled. About ten years ago I did some of the many parades in Atlanta.... with a friend
Excellent video like always buddy 👍 👍
Great team work/ collaboration !😎😎
Hi...you were in Jamaica Estates long before you got to Midland Pkwy...the borders are Hillside Ave on the south; 169th st/Homelawn st which turns into Utopia Pkwy on the west (St Johns campus is on the other side of Utopia Pkwy); Union Turnpike is the Northern border; and 188th st is the eastern border...thanks ...I enjoyed the video 🌷
I love ❤️ Action Kid he’s such a Sweet Heart ❤️ and very aware of everything 🥰💕😘oh and I love his voice I need to come to New York and walk with you 😃😃💯😍 keep doing what you do it’s like I’m walking with you!!😘
Jamaica Ave is simply known as The Ave if you’re from Queens. Also, it’s a great spot to buy kicks. Should have walked by Coliseum Mall- legendary mall especially in terms of Hip Hop. Raekwon and Wu shot their famous “Ice Cream” video there. I think for these types of videos you should get long time residents/natives.
Tone Riggz agree wholeheartedly! this was a missed opportunity.
Walkdom I know they had beef patties. I don’t recall if they specifically went to the Mall but they probably did. It’s such an iconic place in Queens and especially in Hip Hop. Even the terminal is famous, LL Cool J shot part of the Loungin’ video there. Which is why I think someone from the area and especially someone who knows the history (and musical history) of the area would be great for this particular video.
I was wondering about that too
What a sweet young man !
Nice video. You guys are very nice people. Very easy going. Stay safe.
My favorites are when you are with someone talking and exploring different neighborhoods.
Looking forward to our next tour of the Bronx
Like the collab. Nice and frendly guy. I am subscribing to his channel.
As you were walking past the Bus Terminal on Merrick Blvd the Recording Studio that Jam Master Jay from RUN DMC had was across the street. They finally just made the arrest in his murder after 18 Years!!
Very nice fresh of breath air . 👍
Great video enjoying it ; however guys dont forget to put on your mask
This brings back so many memories i just found this video and i was born in queens village and my friend and i used to ride the bus into jamaca and have pizza go to gertz and maceys. I also lived in jamacia for a year and went to school. P.S 178 burned down and we went to a jewish center for that year 1968 i think. Went to PS 33 in queens. This video is great.
Good video today with NYC Walk!
Queens Ny is honestly the best borough the live in,my opinion. Its way cheaper than Brooklyn Or Manhattan depending on how close to the urban area’s(main city) and you get a better quaility of life than The Bronx or Staten Island.Again,my personal opinion!Great vid!
Always nice to explore with someone who knows the place in and out like that
Next time go to Guru Health Food in Parson is a healthy organic grocery store open in 1972 by Sir Chinmoy a meditation teacher. Is also known for civil rights and black lives matter alliances and supporting black organic farmers.
what i love about new york is all the immigrants who live there and how neighborhoods are always changing
well done.
I love your collaborations Action Kid
Buenas noches me gusta mucho este video me siento identificado con mi gente puro pueblo ,muy parecido con la idoncicrcia de Colombia, lindo...un fraterno saludo.
I'm already subscribed to his channel too and he's a great youtuber just like you and I comment on his videos a lot frequently the same way I always comment on your channel
@ActionKid @12:14 you have become a Idol . Lol 🤣
nice
48:30 If it's TxxxxxxC, it's NYC taxi, NxxxxxxC is Nassau County Taxi, WxxxxxxC it's Westchester County Taxi. I think there are new ones as we run out of numbers for these plates.
Is Bangladesh where AK is moving to when NYC completely collapses?
