- It's been 300 years since this a mother and one-year-old son likely died of tuberculosis.
Now, doctors hope to finally find out what lead to their deaths and 250 others discovered in an underground Hungarian crypt. One anthropologist is determined to learn the secrets they literally took to the grave. Doctors took the mummies that were perfectly persevered in caskets and sent for what's called a virtual autopsy using state of the art 3d CT scan technology. #InsideEdition

It's from the 1700s. Before the US was even a country.
First of all, they're Hungarian and the writing on the coffin is Latin. The clothing was typical for burial shrouds of that era. The bonnet was placed on the head of the deceased because women wore a head covering in those days. She would have received this for her eternal rest.

which helps us get a good picture of living standards of the period and common diseases and medical problems people suffered from in those times.
