Wonderful video. I think brookies are the most beautiful of all fresh water fish. I’ve caught little wild brook trout in many small mountain streams in The Alleghenies of PA; little 5-inchers that had me laughing out loud at the amount of fight they had in them... and they always have the most vivid and gorgeous colors; circular spots outlined with halos of blue, red, yellow, and green... I love watching them rise to my fly, and catching them...but I also take great joy in watching them dart away after I release them. It’s difficult to describe to those who have never fly fished, the sense of elation that we fly anglers get by simply approaching a stream, and in just being there... 😊🙏
Just back from 3 days on Kettle Creek around Ole Bull State Park. Water was ridiculously low, with a lot of the creek non-fishable from the park downstream. Kind of a busted trip, but the foliage was gorgeous!!
You young fellas remind me of growing up in S Central Pa, fishing for those incredibly beautiful little Brookies with my cousin Charlie. Do it every time you can...while you're young ;) Absolutely love your videos 😉
Wow, you can see where the water normally is and where it is now! Looks like the streams I fish- hard to find much water. Great video, though. I love the views and angles and also the emphasis you guys put on the fishing experience and the good times you have fishing small streams for wild trout.
Water is super low here in Maine, some rivers I love to fish for native Brookies in are nearly dried out completely and haven’t even bothered. COVID lockdown hasn’t helped either with everyone out fishing now and no respect for limits. hoping next season is better and population isn’t effected to badly. Great videos as always though!
I have never seen any of your content and I LOVED this video. I am absolutely impressed with your camera work , editing and music choice (I use epidemic as well). I started a channel this spring and am still learning so much but the quality, tone and content of this video is certainly what I'm aiming for. I also spend much of my time fishing small creeks in southern NY and love chasing brookies so I love the content as well. Can't wait to check out more of your vids. Water is low up here as well, my last small stream trip was more spooking fish then catching...
Need water here in Central PA. It's rough. One of my favorite brook trout streams is almost completely dried up. Hope things get back to normal, we need it.
The music you pick for your videos,it,s great and goes perfectly with your content . Can you give us the artist . You guys have the best fly fishing show i have watched , thax M
I’m not too familiar with central Pa, but I fished the Saucon late last week and Saturday. The water was low, but not too bad. Lots of brown natives and I caught a holdover rainbow that I know I’ve caught a few times before 🤷🏼♀️ Hope you guys enjoy the fall!
Great video! It's been quite the struggle with the low water for sure. I managed to get into some fish on streamers and dry flies and have a pretty decent day about a month ago. Here's the video: th-cam.com/video/pmKmPRiFEkM/w-d-xo.html
Nice job guys! Your filming is awesome. What camera\lens are you using? Saw in another comment you use EpidemicSound... I do too :) You have some really good selections and I feel like the hardest part is finding what you're looking for...so many tracks.
@@alleghenynative yeah... I totally edit based on my music selections. I go through and download music on a regular basis so I can match up my film to the right music. So hard though :) Nice job again!
You guys carry way too much stuff. Low water here in CT even with the rain we got the last couple of weeks. I like these sort of conditions. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I like hippers or just wet wade if it's not too cold. I like to fish with Glass rods on these little blue lines. 7' to 7'6" rod 4 wt DT. The rod is not all that important as leader and leader length. Any combo that you can put the fly right where you want it to go. Under such conditions, it's going to be a one-shot deal most of the time. I think it's going to be a dry winter, with nowhere near the rain and snow we need. It happens, just a cycle that occurs from time to time.
We don’t normally wet wade due to ticks and most areas we fish have rattlesnakes as well, and as far as rods go, we started fishing the small streams with 10’ rods and have never looked back, way more advantages than disadvantages with the longer rod 👍🏼 thanks for watching!
@@nemanjagradinac5419 when we fish without cameras we rarely use a net and touch the fish, but to get the shots to showcase the fish for you guys to see, a net is pretty critical
Why net them, eat them, they get messed up even though they swim away, barbecue brother6" limit here. No limit on how many. They are so many. In high Sierra Nevada, where golden trout are from, there is creek fire. That is the name, creek fire, its turned east, where i like. Rain is expected tomorrow there, i pray!
That Brookie run at the end with the dries was awesome! Great video guys!

superb camera work. you all get better every time out. best of luck on the water!
I've never seen PA creeks as low as they have been over the last couple of months. Thanks, great video.
Factual man they were terrible for a while
This was filmed very well! Looks like a beautiful area.
Nice bow and arrow cast! Awesome vid thanks :)
DAMN BRO 9:48 THAT WAS SWEEEETTT 😍😍😍ive always wanted to try that
Great film and it proves perfectly that style and class are what counts in fly fishing. Greetings from Poland!

Yeah this year has been awful, glad you had some nice scenery though!
Video certainly catches the essence of a tough day. The toughest trout fishing day beats being stuck in at work. Nice job!

Fantastic work!! Thank you!!!
Awesome video! Well done!
Awesome video man. Gonna need a link in the description to wherever you got that hat from cuz it’s FIRE
Nice job, thanks for sharing. Spawning season soon, hope the rains come to raise levels.
Very nice! Thanks for sharing the video.
Love the video boys. Water is low all over.
Looks a little like the Genneganselet creek in central NY

Sweet! I’ve been needing a new Allegheny video! I love watching you guys!
Been a tough summer for rain. Those low water days are tough but fun
Man, that's some skinny water. Always surprises me that fish are there.

Agreed!
Great video as usual. Really well put together and loads of great shots here. Thoroughly enjoyed guys. Keep up the excellent work!
Thank you!
I fish a creek like this often with browns and brookies. Guaranteed to lose 10 flies and the fish are never bigger than 10" but I still love it.
Outstanding as always gentlemen
Glad we bumped into each other archery hunting! Your guys channel is legit. Great vid and edit.
Thanks Pal was a pleasure meeting and talking to ya. Good luck the rest of the season!!
Dude absolutely fantastic visuals
Eastern boy here . Great video !
I finally got out too after that day of rain. Its been tough here in central pa. Great video as always guys!

Cool vid bout to get into the fly fishing game here in NC
Me too I'm thinking maybe Cabela /Bass Pro might have a nice 0wt or 1 wt 6 or 61/2 one or 2 piece.Im leaning towards Orvis Battenkill 1?

As always great camera work!!!
Thank's
The drought has been so hard this year!!!! At least you saw, spooked and caught a few!!! I’m guessing a huge fish kill as a result:(
Hopefully not a huge fish kill but I’m sure it is possible with how low they have been in certain places
great video my friend!
Awesome video as always boys. I think I'll have to work on my slow motion footage. Taker Slack.
Despite the low water this summer I did pretty well. Try only dropping the nymph no more than a foot from the dry fly
Awesome😎🎣☕️
I'm glad that y'all are back. I figured you all got married and had to give up fishing.
Haha I am married however I have a good one and she doesn’t mind if I go fishing from time to time!
Great video!
Thanks Doug!
I got the same boots, at big 5, mine was freewhy tell us last minute idea to go fishing?
Beautiful video. What size reel and line are you using on that 10 ft 2 weight?
Bob H thank you! And 5 weight reel and line
those Korkers were right outa the box eh?! lol
HI !! very intresting your pant wader. Whee can i find it ? ( insane belt)
I just recently subscribed to your channel, it’s pretty great. Awesome video, it’s nice and soothing. How fly fishing videos should be :)
Thank you!

Fun to watch you catch those brookies. What size hooks are you using for those smaller fish?
Normally 14s and 16s!
Its hard to believe there are fish in these streams.
What town in PA are yinz from?
Ebensburg area

Canon Eos R5
What is the name of that stream? I'm big into Tenkara and that stream run right up my ally of small streams to fish.
Do u guys have merch?
Not at the moment, possibly another sale in the spring!

a net really necessary for that one mate? (:
good cinematography
We like to use a net just to keep them wet and in the water, thanks for watching!
It is even more necessary to use a net when handling such small sensitive fish. Nice job guys this vid is sick
@@andrew_forin just unhook it you don't even have to touch it at all bud

I fail to see the reason for the waders
We wear waders for far more reasons than just the water....ticks, rattlesnakes, briars, mosquitos, these are just some of the reasons we wear them
Are your waders snake proof?
Joel finally got new boots?!
Very much needed!!
