    You guys are REAL experts on trout fishing. I've been fishing for them for 50 years and I still get excited watching young people like yourselves who know what they're doing. GREAT VIDEOS!

    This should double as a video of HOW TO HANDLE TROUT PROPERLY. Well done guys. It is sad that 75% of the fishing world does not know how to handle and release fish.
    You know you were proud of that bow and arrow cast and that fish at 2:43. Beautiful!!

    Beautiful setting and very nice video work. Most of all, I love the genuine love and enthusiasm you three exhibit on the stream -- it so reminds me of my youth with my friends on the stream. Never lose that that passion....I haven't after 50 years of chasing wild brookies in northern WI, MN, and the UP. Carry the tradition on to your children and beyond....and most of all, be vigilant of the resource and its environs, without it none of this is possible.

    What a great place. I had a "Brookie Haven" but a few years ago bad weather created a flash flood and a fish kill. It will come back but that creek you guys fished that day is much better in numbers and size than when my "Trout Haven" was at it's best. Treasure it, handle them gently(you guys did good IMHO) and never tell anyone where that is...except for me! Great job dudes!

    Hey guys, I stumbled across this video when I was looking for some small stream & Brook Trout videos… What a find! You did such a nice job of filming and editing and I enjoyed your narrative as well. The music was great too. I live in south-central Pennsylvania and grew up fishing on the Yellowbreeches Creek. In fact, for several decades of my life, I have lived literally on the Yellow Breeches. In all my years of fishing, I’ve never fished for or caught a brook trout. It’s now my mission and after watching your video, I’m really stoked to go out and find some brookies on a small mountain stream. Can’t wait to watch more of your vids. Thanks for the inspiration!

    I have a secret stream that is filled with natives here in south western pa. The stream flows VERY fast, it is unfishable except for the very small rare pockets of water that are calmer. Biggest me or my buddies pulled out of it was nearly 14 inches. Nice vid beauty fish👍

    Beautiful!
    One thing though...handling the fish....if you handle them with dry hands they stand a chance of dying more easily or so I’ve heard...any else hear this? Thanks and Cheers

    • @robcochran6213
      @robcochran6213 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      With dry hands you're wiping the natural slime off the fish and thus making them more vulnerable to parasites, that is lessllikely with wet hands

    Looks like a blast. I would never think to throw streamers in a stream that small, but it looks like it's working well. What size streamers are you using, 12-14 ish? I also saw a pretty chunky split shot like 6 inches in front of someone's set-up. That's surprising given the water is so small, but again, it's working so I'm curious about the thinking. Lastly, it looks like you are dead drifting a lot vs. imparting action - is that because the drifts are so short?
