The Exorcists also featured in a short story “The empty place” by Graham McNiell in the Successors Anthology. Really well told story and great insight into the chapter’s capabilities.
I think you should make a video on the Crimson Slaughter, they have more lore than most Chaos warbands and could make for a great retrospective look, as they were the poster Chaos faction for a little while and you can still see them in secondary unit pictures as pretty much every csm unit before the release of blackstone fortress got a crimson slaughter paintjob
Love the Exorcists, although it's kinda hilarious how they were called the 'Exorcists' well before the whole Possession thing became a thing for them. Providence? Big E works in mysterious ways? Lazy writing? Your call. Anyway have a few squads of them, great painting and conversion potential!
I kind of want to do a project of making one marine from each badab chapter. If I do, these videos are going to be SO HELPFUL! As usual, another great video.
Been waiting for this, my favourite chapter! You're honestly the best 40k lore channel for the variety of topics you cover and the quality and of your explanations :)
I've been loving your channel as I dive into Warhammer. The episode on Secret Level was excellent, and really helped me appreciate the story and setting. Your older episode on the best books to start reading and the timeline of the tabletop game are immensely helpful too. As I'm going back through old videos, do you have any reviews of video games in the Warhammer universe? Space Marine 2 has very positive reviews. Just thought I'd see what your take on it is. Thanks again!
There is a great exorcist character in the deathwatch books, the chapters members are described as being “almost like blanks” in terms of how there lack of soul affects there presence. Making warp and psychic energies less affected on them. There is a nice short story where a killteam(with an exorcist member) confront a weird boy, and its psychic abilities not very effective.
Technically all primarchs are made of warp energy, their bodies were just a means to contain that power. Corax has just decided to use that power to hunt Lorgar better.
Hell yeah, my favorite "Dark" Chapter, Im looking foward to build a Kill Team of them using the Legionary rule, each one possesse...hem... I mean... using one of the misterious powers of the Warp! (Thanks for the reuploud)
I just finished the novel Deathwatch by Steve Parker, which included the Exorcists marine character. Had no idea that he'd done short stories about the same characters; I'll have to look those up
Alright Ian? long time no see or watch. I never paint marines anymore 15 + years, i only have time for printed vanity models and piles and piles of shame but normally focus on skirmish and narrative stuff now, just to keep it concentrated and concise when i have the chance. Killteam pre last years update and Necromunda , bit of Mordheim too. All to say I've been around your channel since early days and I recently got a combat patrol and my first non first born marines, as if i needed new models but i finally folded to accept a long fought war of the reinvention of my old school marines ( very late to the 'game' in that sense). I finally have Primarus. Im running back through some of these chapter videos to decide which direction ill go, if i must make them worth while albeit if they just sit about on a shelf or box. I think we come from a similar era of GW and although this is your living now, well one revenue, I don't have time but have tons of plastic. Im sort of tempted to go with a chapter that previously i 'hated' or wasn't interested in as a sort of basic traditionalist the last time i painted a marine which was a mono pose or white metal specialist stuff for my own potential use in boarding actions etc. I guess just thanks i come back into the hobby every few months and your videos always get me enthusiastic, i could of said this anytime but im saying it now. cheers.
Lucius the Eternal single handedly stomped through their Fortress Monastery in that one Hammer and Bolter episode. Not sure how they recovered from the shame.
An artist had an image that turned out to be a 40k-ified self-portrait and would rather it wasn't used. Which is fine. I try and credit as much as I can when I know the source of images but sometimes things like that happen! Very happy to just take it down, change the image, and reupload.
I'm not actually sure. I get notifications when dispatch happens, and the printing is done locally to the person ordering so it seems that DISPATCH time is pretty much the same all over, but I don't get reports of arrival dates. I haven't yet had any feedback saying it's good or bad!
Scout becoming Space Marine after proving themselves in battle Meanwhile the Exorcists:"Now get possessed by Daemon and kick it out by sheer will power"
These guys were more interesting when their heritage wasn't confirmed and it was rumored that they were Grey Knignt successors. I don't know how the Grey Knights could even have successors but it was interesting.

I don't want to give Ian a big head, but this is the best lore channel on youtube.
Sorry Majorkill.
@@JACKXK1😂🤣😂🤣
When VaatiVidya gonna start doing Warhammer lore?
Maybe! but Ian needs TH-cam income to buy all those colour coded shirts with each chapter with each episode. All for it that’s for sure!
Ian does a really great job but no one beats the quality of Oculus Imperia
Yes inquisitor I have never seen this video or its content before
Man, what I wouldn't give for a lore video like this about the Crimson Fists. Amazing video, as always, Ian
I feel like I’m getting Deja Vu
Me too. Deja Vu all over again
I feel like I'm getting Deja Vu
Here it is. RE-UPLOADED to remove copyrighted imagery!
@@silvle01 Me too. Deja Vu all over again
well, now I have to watch it again and leave some comments so YT doesn't think I didn't like it.
Might seriously be my favorite chapter. They’re like if Grey Knights were actually cool.
Ooooh, Spicy!
As an Exorcist, I second this. (Totally not biased)
Ah yes, loyalist Word Bearers
“Oaths of Damnation” was rad as hell.
Hey look it’s that chapter that makes the Grey Knights so jealous they had to copyright strike the last video!
Grey Knights would consider this heresy and would wipe them out
The one who made the strike? The one and only Mathew “Spiritual Liege” Ward aka Kaldor Draigo #1 fan
Can't wait for Lamenters.
Can’t get rid of a curse without being cursed…
Death Spectres were also from the 13th founding I think

I read "The racists" instead of "Exorcists" and for a second I thought that was a little too much on the nose, even for 40k standards…
Everyone knows the White Scars are the best racists. At least that's who I'd put my money on to win a race.
The Magamarines, purging dark skinned "heretics" in the Americanus system. Their chapter symbol is the burning cross...
and yet, a certain kind of people still wouldn't get the message *sigh*
Yeah, the Racists chapter just seems like the Deathwatch

Thanks for the reupload, thought I was crazy. Love this series

I need to exorcize this deja vu...well, I don't mind relistening to it while hobbying.
These guys are great, one of my favorite successor chapters, along with the Raptors.
So let me get this right "limited demon possession" is granted ? So technically if corvus corax comes back wouldn't he come under that rule ?
CONSISTENCY? In the IMPERIUM?
Technically all primarchs are made of warp energy, their bodies were just a means to contain that power. Corax has just decided to use that power to hunt Lorgar better.
@@ArbitorIan Crazy, right? 🤭🤣
It's not really granted, radical Inquisitors do it. Other parts of the Imperium are completely against it.
@@_R0adki11 doing a terrible job being lorgar is out and about of the warp

I'm putting out a vicious rumor now that all Exorcists Dreadnoughts are secretly Helbrutes
This is true!? I'll pass it on.
Thanks for the video
i was watching a video on the Exorcists not too long ago. Cool that you uploaded a video on them. 💪🏻💪🏻
Amazing video, such a vast vollection of intel about this fascinating chapter. Thanks!
One of the absolute coolest bits of lore out there. Oaths of Damnation was great, and the Exorcists are my next army.
I just finished the novel Deathwatch by Steve Parker, which included the Exorcists marine character. Had no idea that he'd done short stories about the same characters; I'll have to look those up
Sweet! One of my favorite chapters.
Excellent as always.
My favorite anektode is when an Ultramarine Psycher tries to look at an Exorcist just to notice that he has no soul...
Calling them The Exorcists is the height of what you might call hiding in plain sight.

Haven't we had a video about them already???? 😮 Not complaining 😂
Damn warp shenanigans at it again.
Loving this series, can you do Mortifactors?

Love this chapter's lore, I have about 3,000 points of them painted.
Flesh Tearers next
Not a Badab war chapter.
Each Week we get Closer to a Doom Eagle Video...
A very interesting chapter.

Because that the Grey Knights aren't exactly normal Space Marines is a secret that most of the Imperium does not know.

I refuse to believe that theyre sons of dorn. High lords propaganda
Yes, we are an entirely Codex compliant chapter who are definitely scions of the noble Rogal Dorn, why do you ask?
There better not be any anti-vaxxers clowining on this thread.
