Thank you for this video. It allowed me to explain to the doctor and physical therapist what was happening to my knee. I felt a crinkling sensation beneath/below the knee cap. It was puzzling to them. I also could not explain how I could massage this area to get knee extension back temporarily until I bent my knee again. So, it couldn't be just tendonitis or a meniscus tear. You're right though. Not many medical professionals know of this muscle. What is puzzling is how one might injury this as it appears I have.
Hi I have suprapatellar pain, I feel tissue on top of the quadriceps tendon, something like fibrosis, and on stairs I feel pain. you don't think it might be a problem with the suprapatellar bursa or the genu articularis muscle?. I haven't done image resonance yet
