all right i got the security door i'm going to put on out here gatehouse gibraltar 36 by 80 it's a black one part number three eight six eight four seven go ahead and install it right on this thing go ahead and take it out of the package
So we got three main pieces got the main door got the hinge here right this thing's obviously going to swing out this way and then this piece right here the side piece will go here of course you got the top piece there go up top
A couple things to take into consideration here obviously we got that big gap at the top so we're going to come a little bit off the bottom so i'm going to shim the door up with some wood until i get to where i want it and then the other thing to think about is whether or not your door is going to close like is it going to interfere with the existing door knobs or uh or dead bolt in there so if that's the case you can flip this around and make the opening on that side you just take it now your hinge will be on this side and your door will be on this side i've had to do that before not always the best idea i'm going to try to get it to where the door knobs are the same you open this up and there's the other doorknobs as it sits so we'll see we'll see how it fits
Yeah you can do this before you before you bolt anything in so you can see those things are going to go there so i got plenty of plenty of room
That's gonna go there i can see i got a little gap which is what i like i mean a little a little more let's see a little strip of white and that means i'm gonna get a good good purchase on this this right side here so uh double check level and then i'll go ahead and get to screwing this thing in
That's where the bolts are for this here uh but this it's actually going to clear it so it's going to fit right in there and deadbolt i'm not worried about so see there's a straight on look at it same with up here yeah good they give you the special bit for your drill and then you can see that that'll turn it clockwise with that bit but you won't be able to back it out so you want to make sure this thing is before you go sinking these things in right because they're just going to go right in here before you sink them in make sure that this thing is 100 where you want it to go because obviously you can't back it out you have to cut it off or get creative cut a groove down on that with a grinder it gets messy one thing i always like to do is pre-drill my holes too and drill that through there and up here and everyone I got all three of those in now on this side all right now
