    Love it! As soon as I saw the celery, I was sold 😄 love your recipes, I've actually been eating Greek salad for the past 2 months and I've already lost 18 pounds, but I'm in need of new salads just for variety 😁

      @@TheMediterraneanDish I did. DIdnt' have all the ingredients but did have some red peppers and put those in, so I gather this is VERY flexible. But it was delicious and think I liked it better than one I do put a little mayo in.

    I soak the sun-dried tomatoes in hot water for a few minutes to soften them up otherwise they can be a bit leathery.

    This looks good,I make pretty much the same dressing except with whole grain mustard and apple cider vinegar and use it for coleslaw.

    I have ordered both olive oils from your website. Sometimes you use one and sometimes you use the other. How do you decide which one to use? Just starting Mediterranean Diet. This website is absolutely the best for down to earth simple recipes. Thanks so much!

      They’re both interchangeable really. It depends on the flavor profile you’re going for. The early harvest will be more robust and peppery than the private reserve. I tend to use the early harvest for salads and pastas, while I use the private reserve for cooking

    Thanks for explaining the oils. Can't wait till I get my oils and spices. I have one more question. Lemons versus limes? You seem to always use lemons.

    • @TheMediterraneanDish

      I love them both really! I tend to use them interchangeably

    What is the substitute for Sumac?

    • @TheMediterraneanDish
      @TheMediterraneanDish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Since sumac is tart, you can substitute it with lemon zest, lemon pepper seasoning, lemon juice or vinegar
