I just met this guy yesterday in Stuart with my family. I have to say this guy is one of the nicest guys I have ever met. He even gave me his Abenz spook bait in the same color that he caught this 40 pound plus Jack for free!! Thanks again Aron you are the man and I will always continue watching your videos on catching giants!!!!!!
This video should be titled “ River Tuna… The tutorial “. Just outstanding! I’ve never seen you catch so many big fish. Well done guys! Stay safe out there.
im running a rear single on all of my spooks now, pretty much all plugs other than pencil poppers. once in a blue moon you'll find it affecting the action, and then you just use a giant single. probably a 7/0 or a 9/0 on a plug that big. could even rock an 11/0 with jack that size. you reduce the frequency of fouling significantly. when trebles foul it's often on the head, gills, shoulders, and the fish wear the plug like a harness and get a ton of leverage. hookup rates will definitely go down a little, but fouling goes down to almost nothing, and it's easier on the fish.
Awesome video- anyone who doesn’t get wound up watching that must have never fished, or just doesn’t like catching fish. My dad thought catching Jacks, of any size, was the greatest thing ever.
Love these videos of catching giant jacks. In Hawaii the jacks are the target for a lot of fisherman. Would love to catch these jacks all day long!! Keep doing your thing
Jack's are 1 of my favorite fish to catch. I never landed nothing no where as big ad any of yours. Great video. I need to find some spots to find them from land I'm in tampa
Sick video man! Amazing top water action ihavent had a chance to actually fish topwater but id like to try it out where do you sell those spooks at? You got a website?
EXCITING!!! You are lucky to have the woman you love share your passion for fishing. Bruna rocks! I have watched you use all the top spinners (Penn Authority, Stella and I believe the Saltiga). Do you have a favorite? The Aussies have nothing on you. LOL!
Good stuff man, one question I always wonder watching your videos is how are you finding these spots/fish. Are you just cruising around looking for action on the surface? Also what area are you mostly fishing? Tampa bay? Any info on how your getting on these beats would be awesome!
Thanks for watching, I’m in south east FL - I typically use side scan, that’s the best way to find them - I also look for surface obstruction, current, primarily rips, troughs, etc
I watched everyone of your videoes ,but i never comment,i really love watching your video they are great. Specially seeing you catching thoses big crevelle
so i finished the video. seems like the 35 lber pulled harder than the 40 lber. why? you're getting fouled with a second hook, probably during the fight, on these fish. there's a lot of real estate on the side of a jack and they're strong. it's hard to turn them anyway. when the plug is in the mouth you can get leverage and turn them. when they're getting fouled by the second treble you'll feel them hit a second gear at some point through the fight and they'll turn away and run. think of it like if you had a hook in your face and you were trying to pull something, and then all of a sudden it's in your back or shoulders and you now can turn and run. consider crushing the rear treble so it pops out in that spot, or do what i do, run a big single back there and crush the barb down to nothing. singles almost never foul and they're surprisingly hard for fish to shake. i like bkk singles but they're expensive.
Bro, if you ever have to buy another drink in a bar, it’s only because you aren’t telling the stories well enough, haha…you have the craziest s*#! happen to you. I’ve been trying to tell people for 20 years that crazy things happen when you fish…I’m just gonna direct them to your videos. Keep it up buddy.
@@AbenzFishing don’t got time to read comments bud, busy finding inshore videos that’s not freaking gay jack. I’m from south Florida and 20-40lbs are junk and we don’t even waste the energy fighting them waste of time 😂😂

I’ve run single hooks before, it’s not bad, a lot of the stick baits I used have them and it makes unhooking so easy
Amazing content, looove these videos! 🙏🏽

That’s awesome - I agree and thanks for watching!
Crazy thing about Jacks is that one might survive having a big shark bite taken out of hid back. They’re some tough SOBs
Hundred percent agree, I personally think that Jack will probably be fine

Are you tying direct to your leader? If so, what knot do you use? Thanks for the great videos…

Dude TRUE that, it’s exactly what’s happening. Plus some fish are just stronger or find rips - I may switch to single hook on rear
@@AbenzFishing this vid has the best Jack eats I have ever seen
