Dude i swear to god i'm so happy that you create content ! I just wrote every tips down ( i have a big note for BG and add everything that i can find from BG Streamers/TH-camrs ) you dont even know how crutial it is for people like me to have your content in my disposition since i really want to improve ! ( I'm playing BG since like a month and i'm kinda stuck at almost 6k, even tho i know that at this elo and with my level i should probably focus on playing a lot to grow experience but gosh everytime i lose MMR its painful but again, its part of the journey right ? ) Its kinda weird, cause the more i learn about the game ( by that i mean gathering infos from everywhere ) the more i feel like i'm getting lost.. I wish there could be some general tips or pattern to focus on every single games ( this video helped on that point, i mean for heroes tips ) but BG is soooo situational that its just so hard to do that. Mechanicaly (is that word even english lmao) i already know the general stuff like when to level up or not, freeze or not, hero powers etc.. My real struggle is on my board actually. I tend to get good tempo, but there's so much variety on my board that its hard to pick a direction ( this will come with experience right ? ) but like.. "How to pick a direction when you could go for many ?" idk that could be a good video maybe ? Because i realized that usually around turn 10 that's where i start to get clapped if i dont have scaling yet.. Also, i know that when you're stuck, its often good to try to change your playstyle, but here is my question, i might sound silly but: How do i do that ? Like i know what it means but really how do i change my playstyle ? And what if that change fails ? Should i go back to my old playstyle and stay stuck ? I guess the answer if find another play style but i have to still follows some rules that pretty much can't be changed right ? ( Some heroes HAVE to be played in a certain way etc.. ) Some people will say "Play more aggressively" for example, does that mean not leveling on Turn 2 and buying ? At 6k i see that a lot, people do this even tho they play a hero that should level up. They get better tempo and somehow they dont really fall behind mid game.. I mean those are random examples without context pretty much but yeah i'm kinda lost, i need to find that "click" to improve ! ... Great tips! A lot of things I hadn’t thought of. For Rakinishu I disagree a little that it’s only a late game hero power. I think you should usually hero power on your 5 gold turn. A tier 1 with +2/+2 is better than selling it for a tier 2.
I guess there are some cases where heropower on 5 gold makes sense, but generally you don't want to waste 2 gold early game for +2+2 or +3+3 when you can expand your board instead. But you're right, that's indeed the only turn where depending on Bob shows in your shop and whether you had a token or not, you sometimes heropower.
From turn 1, I would choose 2 of 3 minions I would prefer to keep and just buy the odd one out. I would freeze those minions for as long as I am able to and play out the game normally. For example. I will tier up on turn 2, buy random individual minions on turn 3 and so on. Once I feel like I cannot keep up with the rest. I will buy the 2 minions I have frozen up till now. Which will give me a very strong boost and that is where I can start building my board and power levelling. At 6k~ mmr and 70% we on Sindra, i think this is quite a safe strat so far
in my practice, buying as many whelps as possible as ysera actually gives you some early advantage which you can use to level quicker without taking much damage just saying
Is Finley still in the game? I thought they removed him. Maybe you need the tavern pass to play him. Also nice video. If you by any chance read this comment is it ok if you can do a short guide or maybe a review on playing demons. Even when I play demons with reno I still end up doing really bad. My strategy is usually go stay on tier 1 to get a golden wrath weaver and triple to get tier 4 minions such as grubber or watcher. But I never seem to find any demons and I find it difficult to play demons because I don't know if I should cycle cheap demons to buff my weavers or keep rolling to get triples for a big grubber.
They got rid of Finley because it could get akazamzarak who is currently broken. I'm sure he'll be back. Also a while ago I did a full demon guide and I think it's still pretty accurate! Just don't tunnel vision on just demons too much or stay on tier 1 for too long, level properly and stabilize on tier 4 for a while.
I used to like it but so often people get baited to just buy a pair of whelps on turn 3 (5 gold) which is super weak, or freeze a whelp pair/triple and float gold. Also staying on 1 to farm whelps to then power level isn't the best when you can just.. level normally and get better triples. But don't get me wrong, sometimes you can fit whelp triples into your turns nicely!
For Great Akaram, highly disagree with your tip. Bunch of secrets in the current meta are very useful besides ice block like splitting image, which can copy a taunted divine shield amalgadon with poision or a massive cleave and keep its stats. In fact, that secret is so broken, if done right, it is possible to literally kill bunch of folk in the mid to end game with a half-as*ed build. One other good secret is the one that pops up an extra poisonous minion on your board, which can make it the winning call during end game builds. Competitive spirit is amazing in early game for extra tempo and quick tavern tier leveling.
Nice tips, I only don't like Lich King and Flurgl. "It's nice to get tidehunter/spawn'kaboombot". Well it's not very practical because you can't control it. I would say for lich king that there is more sense to go for 6-drops than with other heroes because you can be carried by boat/ghastcoiler/jinny. Flurgl - yeah, it was actually good advice to triple into 5's. Overall he is on a weak side now tho.
Ye I do get that it's out of your control, but my main point was that with lich king it's okay to stay on tier 2 (instead of power level to tier 3) and that those units enable power leveling if you happen to hit them. You can't control it, but you need to know how to capitalize on units and what those units are. But I do like the 6 star tip that you added! My tip: don't freeze with AFKay when doing the round3 achievement as it'll count as doing something. What a stupid 💩 Edit to clarify: did freeze weaver and another demon, didn't use the two cards given, didn't spend gold, didn't get the achievement

I've always loved Sindy, just freeze as much as possible in the early turns and use the tempo that you get to level agressively!

I find that farming Whelps early game with Ysera allows me to powerlevel to 6 a lot easier
