Legend. One of the true greats of our game. Huge respect from New Zealand. Incredible insight into his journey, and so wonderfully articulated.
One of the all-time greats he’s probably a little underrated imo considering how much he impacted on wins and losses for England. From 2001-03 when he played you knew England were winning no matter who they were playing against.
Met Jonny a few times, absolute legend. Was a great role model when I was a young lad.

Never thought I’d love an Englishman as much as I love this prodigy, I’ll never forget seeing him live playing against Ireland at Landsdown, he destroyed us in every single department!!
28:07 That’s an awesome story about Elton Flatley writing him a letter. Jonny’s right that his penalties were incredible. It would have been horrible in hindsight for the World Cup to be won by him missing.
