That scrapped idea is based off the scrapped kirby2 game which would only have Kirby with his mouth sealed shut in that game you have to outlast bosses while you can't float and you have to dodge ghosts and when you get out the curse gets broken
To keep with the Kirby theme, me and a buddy got drunk last year and tried this: So, smash bros ultimate campaign, to start the game, every character gets murdered except for Kirby, so we decided, "you know what? If Kirby was the only one strong enough to survive, he's the only person worth playing" and then proceeded to try and beat the game using ONLY Kirby, no matter who we unlock in the process, and let me tell you, that is one of the most fun yet challenging playthroughs I've ever had of the game. You should totally try it!!!!

I think squeek squad might actually be beatable without inhaling anything? the only forced powerup in that game i think is the triple star, but thats just a staff you dont swallow it
Fun fact: Fatty Whale has no attacks that can damage Kirby while he’s guarding, meaning that you can defeat fatty whale by literally just holding the guard button.

whats crazy to me is when i played this on the DS i would frequently do segments or the boss arena without powers cause i found out just how much damage spit attack did to the enemies
This reminds me of a challenge video "Can you beat Kirby's Adventure Without Eating" where in addition to not being able to use copy abilities other than the sword used to fight Meta Knight, he couldn't eat food used to heal (which you did at 3:07) or play the egg-eating minigame.
Calling it now: Meta Knight's gonna be the end, if not where you cave. If you don't take the sword he gives you, you're forced to wait out the clock until he gets fed up and fights you without it. And even then, because his attacks are so quick and stars don't last very long, you either have a scarily small margin of error to beat him in such a small time frame, or the fight is just outright impossible. EDIT: *Welp, you caved and took the sword, so I was half-right.* 18:39 - Not a one-hit, it just takes a sizeable chunk of your health. That chunk was just a little bit more than the amount of health you had at that point.

he doesn't gaslight that they know what he's doing, kirby is indeed a baby in matters of intelligence, but aparently once he swallows someone and copies it, he gets their memories and abilities. so then he knows what he's doing
3:30 it gets worse/better for Kirby. The "one-eyed cloud of destruction has nothing on: -Nightmare (guess what he gives you) -Zero and Zero two (Kracko looks friendly and cuddly in comparison to those two) -Dark matter... actually whole matter/dark gamg is mostly one-eyed darkness edlright abominations... except miracle matter, that one has over a dozen eyes! -Many literal souls like Drawcia Soul, Marx Soul etc. (yes Kirby can destroy your very essence of being) -Necrodeus (which loosely translates to God of Death). Kirby is just built different, thats all.
I feel like this is less a Swallow-Free run, and moreso a Powerless run, seeing as the power-ups you get from the stands before bosses and stuff *SHOULD* count as not cheating and fair to use, since, while Skooch *DID* get power-ups, he didn't get them via swallowing, but this is still really cool and funny nonetheless! Good stuff, man! Keep it up!

Since I've played the game before, I actually know the road block you're referring too at the moment you asked to pause. It's the room right after the bonkers fight, because there's a bomb that's above Kirby, and you can't attack it. That, or the fuse for the cannon
to choose kirby superstar ultra was quite ballsy. To select any kirby game with multiple gamemodes had to be the worst decision you did for this challenge, there are games way better suited for this. Like Kirby 64 (also, the soundtrack is way more fire imo) or Planet Robobot, where power ups are only useful, not mandatory iirc.

Fun fact: when you stop flying you shoot out air, right? Well that air can actually damage enemies. And blocking damages small enemies. You can use air against bosses and flying enemies, and block against bosses and walking enemies.

Kirby originally you couldn't even use powers. They actually incorporate it into newer games to make it possible to beat without powers.
