Nice video. Thank you for the explanation of features. I've been looking at one of these for months but didn't know what the loop was. Also can this work as a switch for comparing speakers?
No, not as a switch for speakers. For that you'll need speaker level outputs. This is LINE RCA only. For speakers try this one: amzn.to/3OQGfdB

Hi, thanks for the very informative video. Was looking for a switcher like this, especially with a remote.Can I use this as 2 in and 1 out. My Onkyo RZ 830 as a pre connected to 1 input to my Mcintosh 7150 power amp for movies and my Mcintosh C15 preamp as another input to my Mcintosh 7150. And for the output I will run a cable to my power amp input. I use my power amp for both movies and stereo, and now I constantly change cables. Hence, I need a good switcher that doesn't add anything to the chain. I won't be using the loop function. This is purely a passive siwtcher, right, so it doesn't add anything to the signal change. Love the meters.

I bought this based on the review. Unfortunately, in my case the switcher did color the sound quite considerably. I was surprised why my music sounded so different with the switcher in the circuit. The bass sounded bloated, and the songs were edgy very digital like. And I was using a Mcintosh power and pre amps, which are rather analogue in terms of feel. I used the same cables as well. I eventually did an A/B test with and without the switcher to my amps and this confirmed my impressions. I realised this switcher makes the sound brighter, clinical/ digital and adds bloom to the bass as opposed to connecting it directly with my amps. Everything else works. The colors on VU meters and remote etc. It looks of quality. But the sound coloration is quite disappointing. As a switcher, I just wanted it to be seamless and not add any coloration, but it was not meant to be as the reviewer had suggested. Gonna return it and maybe try the Schiit SYS. Hope that works. Otherwise, I will just have to swap cables.

I have one of these and use it mainly to get the VU from my DAC but also to switch in other devices. Have you noticed any signal degradation? (I haven’t). Thank you for reviewing this… not many (or even any) quality reviews on this L3 out there.
No, I don't hear any degradation of sound in my system 👍
Great Video. I have an Amplifier, BOYUURANGE MODEL A-50, with AUX, CD, TAPE Out, it's not a Preamp. Can I use the looping feature?

Yes you can, but you will have to plug your sourcea to the L3 and then the L3 to one of your integrated amps inputs. I would use the AUX or CD input. Thanks for watching. I appreciate it!
