  • Taking a closer look at one of the rarest of the P7 series, the P7M7. This model is also additionally unique because it is shorter in overall length than the later prototypes and utilized the gas piston operation of the 9mm models. The later prototypes utilized a unique hydraulic buffer.
    This pistol and many others will be featured in depth in the upcoming Vickers Guide Heckler and Koch Book Volume One.

    Most informative, thank you James. Am I to understand the Larry Vickers is writing/written a book (Volume1) on H&K weapons? When/where can we expect this treasure trove of information.

      I am writing the three volume series with Larry and James Rupley. Volume 1, covering the pistols, will be available this summer through the VG website.

    Thanks for that James. I’ve only read about that gun and glad to finally see an actual prototype in the flesh. We have a farm outside of Atlanta and I’ve been to the facility a couple of times for HK transactions with a couple employees but never visited the room. Will have to make that happen at some point. Have you ever fired a P7M7? I’d be curious as to how it compares in accuracy to an M8 in the right hands, as my 9mm P7 designations are some of the most accurate production handguns I’ve ever fired. I have an M10 but it’s supposedly unfired, so I can’t speak to its accuracy in comparison.

      @@teufelshundtactical I’ll do that. A few of my shooters are approaching the 1000 round mark and short of general maintenance, I dare not get into guts of the guns like the drop safety spring and firing pin bushing. Do you have inventory of replacement parts that one could acquire for longer term.

    Can you please do a video on suppressing the MP5 with a WML also attached and all the variations that are used to accomplish this setup. Ideally I would like to use the surefire hand guard but I understand there tends to be clearance issues. Thanks.

    • @teufelshundtactical
      @teufelshundtactical  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Too many variables due to the different size of suppressors and whether they mount vis direct thread or three lug. If you already have a suppressor, you'll have to work around it with different light options. Most of the time, the integrated Surefire lighted handguard prevents the attachment of a suppressor.

    • @korbyn49
      @korbyn49 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@teufelshundtactical Surefire should make a redesign of the handguard with the light about a quarter inch lower and you should help them design it. I think they would sell out like crazy, don’t know why Surefire hasn’t done it yet.

    The walther ccp, from my understanding, is extremely similar to the 9mm p7.

    • @AdamerKeithski
      @AdamerKeithski ปีที่แล้ว

      IF the P7 were made in an utterly shitty manner, with inferior engineering and poor parts quality. “Just Say NO to Umarex” 🛑 ✋🏼 The CCP is a true dog turd of a pistol…if you want a decent compact Walther 9mm carry gun, stick to the PPS

    • @AdamerKeithski
      @AdamerKeithski 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      …IF the latter were produced with shoddy materials, lazy tolerances, and little regard for reliability and durability. The P7 family is legend; the CCP is a cut-rate 🤡…no surprise since its manufacturing origin is Umarex, despite the Walther branding. BLUF: If you want German engineering rendered properly, you can’t get it at a cut rate.
