    Great review!! It seems like a good shoe. I like that they added the power run foam.

      This really is a gem. I’ve been running in a lot of exciting shoes, but I reach for this for most of my runs lately.

    This shoe sounds absolutely perfect for me. I prefer some stability and I have about 300 miles in my Kayano 29s. They're nice long/easy runs but they don't like to pick up the pace. o
    Once I need to retire them this might be the shoe for me!

      🤣Thank you! Yeah, Brits aren't really known for their superb teeth! FYI, I had braces as an adult and have had a lot of dental work and orthognathic surgery to get to this point!

    Thanks for the awesome video content. I prefer traditional stability running shoes due to over pronation (Medial post etc..) Kayano 29 was my favorite shoe for this but the Kayanos have changed a lot.
    In the current market which is the closest shoe to the Kayano 29? (NB 860 V12, Gt 2000 12 perhaps?)

      Hi Desh!
      I can't really say which is the best stability shoe as I don't test too many and when I do, I prefer those with inherent stability rather than posting. I am currently running in the Kayano 31 and love it, but I don't think it would be enough for you. I am also currently testing the Saucony Hurricane 24 and find it is a little too controlling for my taste, so that may be an option.
      Sorry I can't be more help with this!

    I wonder if shoes like this would help eliminate the knee joint injuries I have been plagued with. Thanks for the review.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching, Ray! I suppose a shoe with a little more stability could help you, but it’s quite difficult to say without anecdotally trying a pair, or testing in a lab to measure the impact forces. It’s always fun to try new shoes though, so I’d say it’s worth a go. Worse case scenario is they don’t make much difference and you’re stuck with a really good pair of running shoes.

      Ray, I put a note in response to you in an earlier video. I am not sure if you have seen it. You didn't comment back. I think this shoe might help your knee and hip pains. I think you are going in the wrong direction with overly soft shoes with stability problems. I know you love Novablast but it could be contributing to your issues. For the moment you need to opt for more stable shoes. Oh yeah, you might also need to do some strength training to solve the problem in the long run.

    Which is the best stability running shoe between NB 860v13 vs Glide 16 vs Gel Kayano 30? I'm looking for the best stability shoe as I'm an over pronator. I'm not too concerned about speed etc.. more of a durable, workhose show that supports my overpronation over 15-20km daily runs.

    Hey Matt. I typically run in Saucony Rides - sounds like this shoe would be in the same neutral category for daily runs? Thanks !!

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mark! I haven't run in any of the Rides, but spec-wise they seems quite similar, albeit the Ride is a neutral shoe. I would guess the Tempus may feel a little softer underfoot due to having the PWRRUN PB.

  • @samdurrant120

    Hey Matt, do you ever opt for wide versions of running shoes? I've found Saucony to be a bit narrow so far, might be just me!

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never opted for the wide version of any shoe and I’ve always thought I’ve got relatively narrow feet. Occasionally I’ll come across a shoe that runs my little toe from the toe box being a bit tight, but it’s pretty rare for me.

    • @Maloha486
      @Maloha486 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sauconys are definitely narrow. New Balance has better options for people with wide feet.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wouldn’t say they have high arches. I have relatively normal arches and although they feel supportive, the arch height is not noticeable to me.

  • @sumguy9687
    @sumguy9687 ปีที่แล้ว

    So I ordered the Tempus but in trying them on in the house on carpet, the arches seem to really push into my foot. My arches are normal. At this price I’m afraid to take a chance that they will get more comfortable. Think I’m going to send them back unfortunately.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  ปีที่แล้ว

      How long have you had them? I would try to wear them around the house for at least a couple days to give them a good shot. The arch support isn't something I notice (I also have normal arches) and I don't remember anything different when I first tried them on. Still, if they don't feel good there's no reason to keep them!

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      My first thoughts are that it can be used by runners with high arches because the FormFit insert looks and feels very supportive, but it’s really going to depend on the runner. You could always use arch inserts if you needed a little more support.

    Ascis kayano and altra paradigm and provisions for me. Do you find the tempus a responsive, ‘fast’ shoe? Wouldnt mind adding this to my rotation.

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would describe the Tempus as a fat shoe, for what it is. It's not fast in the same way an Endorphin Pro is fast (it's not plated), but for this type of shoe I'd say it's the fastest you can get. It feels good when you pick up the pace!

  • @toddb7154
    @toddb7154 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I have just under 200 miles in this shoe. My biggest gripe with the shoe is the overall width particularly the forefoot. I have a narrow foot with high arches. If people loved the fit and feel of the Endorphin 2 this shoe will be a disappointment. I had a feeling that Saucony was going to widen the new release shoes and while it may work for some I find it a little annoying only because I much prefer a snug fit and I sweat like a whore in church during my long runs and the shoe gets loosey goosey. I don't feel any arch support at all. Otherwise, it feels light in my size 12, the rocker helps move me along and I have found a use for the shoe but I wouldn't buy a second pair but that's totally subjective

    • @its_Matt_B_
      @its_Matt_B_  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks for adding your long-term thoughts on the shoe! You're right about it being subjective, but you bring up an excellent observation about it being a bit wide, as it likely will be for a lot of others. I think I also have a narrow foot, but i've enjoyed the roominess, and wouldn't label it as being too wide for me (again, totally subjective). I generally like a little more room in this type of shoe that i'm going to be spending hours in at a fairly easy pace.
