It's basically a seaside resort like Margate or Weston Super Mare or Blackpool for New Yorkers who don't have much money.

Agree wholeheartedly about Coney Island, was there some years ago and it was a kind of post apocalyptic setting. Couldn’t find food or decent beer, ended up in some wonky freak show and then rode the cyclone and went back to my hotel. It felt like a broken trashy place and not in a good way. Good luck finding a mega burger in NYC mate.

I love the States as there is so much to admire about it - the scenery, the contrasts and the energy of it, but over 80% of the time I find the food, although in huge quantity, is lacking in quality.
I was half expecting one of the seagulls whipping the burger out of your hand. Prices and portion sizes definitely risen and shrunk since I was there ten years ago.
Maybe try taste food first with just water-then add in milkshake halfway thru. Possibly high sugar/fat milkshake making harder to taste meal..? Love ur channel ❤
