    Excellent teacher-this is the kind of great stuff you can play with your pentatonic buddies and they’ll look up and say “what was that?”

    Excellent lesson full of inspiration as always. Might have a go at this course once I've completed the beginner blues rock soloing and Corey blues fake book - sheesh - I have a lot to learn :)

    I thought those were 7th chords?

      The 9th comes from the second string note (in this case). The second string is a root note plus a whole step, so a "9th". If the second string was muted or played two frets lower, it would be a 7th.
