Ha! thanks for showing the road just off 118! I'm going to check that out next time I'm over that way. I rode from Carnarvon to Gravenhurst a couple weeks ago and was a bit underwhelmed by that stretch of 118, but I love Hwy 35.
So if you're ever in the Algonquin area, there are other amazing stretches of roads - even better than hwy 35 - that you should certainly check out. 35 can get really busy at times.
You seem like a knowledgeable and experienced rider. Which is what makes this confusing. And maybe it’s a weird video thing. But it looks like you are turning with the turns and not counter-steering. Is that true or is it just a video thing? If so, why do you elect not to counter-steer? One other question. My Springfield looks awesome without the windshield. But, the buffeting (without a backrest) takes its toll. How do you like it; is it a seemingly longer ride/more tiring? How did it affect your fuel economy?
Def. counter-steering. Probably a video thing. As for the wind buffeting, I use the blanket for that. It really helps. Esp. on highways and higher speeds. I do use a windshield in really cold weather, but I put a vent in the windshield and that helps too. I do have a backrest, love it!
