I also thank you for your guidance with diy computer repair. I've followed all your steps, and wound up replacing the drive. It still won't boot up windows. It goes further than it used to, I see the Microsoft emblem, then it gives me "computer restarted unexpectedly....windows installation cannot proceed......" I called the folks I got the drive from, they say it must be my motherboard. Thoughts? It's a Toshiba satellite E55-A5114 circa 2014 Thanks, John

@@PC_Monkey the issue is it has my account on there and I’m trying to give it away to a friend and in order to factory reset it, I’m following the guides, but it’s basically just bringing me to the safe mode
Not all of them have it unfortunately. Can you find any Repair or Recovery options in BIOS? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
Hi sir, my laptop crashed and went into toshiba setup utility automatically and i don't want to reboot my laptop but I'm not able to exit it. So,is there any solution?
@PC_Monkey no it was showing no bootable device ,if I try to boot through the hdd it says missing operating system,so I try to use cd drive and its boots, it shows the windows logo and it's loading then all of a sudden just goes black screen and system is still on
Like I mean I m not able to install the windows 10,once it shows that windows logo before it moves to the next installation process it just goes black on screen,
You have a Toshiba? Can you enter BIOS and find any Reset or Restore options? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey mine got stuck on dynabook logo, it wont let me go to the bios settings no matter what key i press. It happened when i hit that windows update. It rebooted and suddenly the screen flickers when i turn it back on. Now it won't load up windows and bios settings. Any advise? I am using the Portege X20W-D-122 by the way..

So what do I do at this stage? Take it to a shop? Recovery? Factory reset? Is it the hard drive that's broken? Sorry but I'm still lost.

Can you try reseating the HDD? It may have come loose. The RAM too.

Most likely not. If your computer uses a 32 bit, then thats most likely what it needs to run. What brand and model computer do you have?

You can press and hold the power button for up to one minute to force shutdown. What happens when you power it back on?
