@@mj6400 I agree. Budokai felt more like a fleshed out arcade fighter while Tenkaichi was more like a game where you could just have fun and shape DB battles any way you wanted.
SSJ4 was actually drawn by one of his good friends and a character designer who worked on the dragonball Z movies, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru. Credits for the SSJ4 form go directly to him. Also Toriyama drew several planets and designed what the charactes would look like in the future as well as helped direct some art work and small events in the story. Toriyama was also the one who came up with name Dragonball GT and drew the logo as well as the original idea to into space. That is about it though.
The Tenkaichi games are on a much larger 3D plane and instead of fighting from a side-on view of both characters, you look at your enemy from the rear of your own character in a third person perspective. This means you get a lot more freedom of movement.
i think what really made this game stand out from all the rest are the counter attacks and decisions you could make,"should i teleport behind him and kick him in the back? or should i try and dodge it and hope he dosent do a power hit."its the little things like that,and not to mention the planet exploding attacks which make you awe at your tv screen.

Ok this is why shin budokai is better than budokai series ,the fights become one sided once you are trapped in a move cutscene meanwhile in shin budokai you have chance to dodge any kind of attack making it feel more competitive

actually it was stated that vegito's fusion with the ear rings is a better form thus making vegito stronger. akira toriyama has stated vegito is stronger than gogeta

Gogeta requires both goku and vegeta to have the same power level when they fuse, so one of them has to lower his power, with potaras this is not necessary. The potara also make the fusion stronger.
No doubt Gogeta SSj4 was serious, but also funny and goofing around. It was hilarious how he made fun of Omega Shenron lol That was the best part of the fusion where he started to piss of Omega Shenron. You are right about the fusion timing out faster, too bad the creator's gave Gogeta a time limit that short.

Toriyama simply drew a rough design for the GT logo and designed the GT appearance of the series main cast. He oversaw the series' production, but never got involved in the making as a real author. He only created the show's starting point (Goku becoming a kid ecc.), but then left storyline/character development to the rest of the team. He didn't even conceive the SSJ4 Form (which was designed by one of his pupils and based off an older rejected SSJ3 design).
something this game did well that other DBZ games fails to do is that transforming actually gives you an attack and defence boost. That's the way it should be. I remember how much it was when I played with my friend and we would race to reach super saiyan 4 because we knew that it was suicide to stay normal sayian against a level 4.

I actually thought it added more depth to the game, but I can see what your saying about the computer. Although on the harder difficulties they haven't done that to me as much. I think the pc for lower difficulties is programmed to fight cheaper than the higher ones, and the higher difficulty settings are programmed to fight more skillfully.

You are right in that the death of Goku suggests before the Buu fight, but other facts suggest otherwise. In my opinion, these inconsistencies and contradictions make it impossible to place anywhere in the series timeline.
Budokai 3 was by far the best DBZ game yet!!! I wish they would go back to the 2-d fighting style but with 3-d graphics kinda like they did with the Mortal Kombat 2011
The reason I think Vegito would win is the fact he could EASILY dominate Super Buu without going Super Saiyan if he wanted. The reason he went SSJ in the first place was so he could coax buu into absorbing him.
The script was fan made. Toriyama's "writing" in GT was the back stories for most of the characters, which were all already established in Z and the original Dragonball series.

Tenkaichi was too much of the same. Everyone did the same attacks and had the same controls. There was no depth to it.

They're bringing out a HD Collection for PS3 and 360 in the winter. It has Budokai 1 and 3. I'd just wait for that.
