Thousands of such gems of kirthanas in Tamil are ignored by our 'musicians'. It is a pity that the Tamil people do not put up any resistance to the habit of our 'musicians' of giving the impression that there are no great pieces of Carnatic music in Tamil, that is 'Iyal', 'Isai', and 'kootthu' in the same way as the Christian theological Trinity: God, Son, and the Holy Ghost.
