plenty of reviews online about it, more upfront mids out of the box, slightly more impact, and more slightly more sub-bass, in the Susvara. The way my HE1000se's sounded out of the box = trash without eq and thin amd the highs overblown on some music, but I use a RME ADI-2 Pro, so I was told that it is due to the potential neutrality of that amp. I wouldn't say I am lacking power on the high power mode, but maybe there are better amps out there for the HE1000se, with a emphasis on the lower frequencies. It is good that I can eq from a flat bass though, so I am not complaining about that! Once I did some eq for 50+ hours I figured out a good profile that works well with most music and makes a fun and engaging sound. Excited to see what changes come in the future. The place where the HE1000se does insanely well is detail. It is too much detail lol. Crazy to say that, but you have to get used to it@@jack4321able
Great video my man. As a nano owner, I completely agree with your description of that headphone. Though would like to emphasise the amount of slam it has for a hifiman. How they manage to have quality slam, resolving mids and airy highs that don't bleed into each other is nothing but amazing. Makes my ananda stealth sound boringly neutral and my XS underachieving. Watching your video assures me I've picked the right hifiman for me. Keep up the good work bro.
@@CrackaSlapYa These are really good in a lot of ways, but I do think the 660S have better vocal timbre (although many would say this is the only thing going for them lol). You are 100% correct about using the correct headphones for certain music. I was fairly disappointed when I got my HK 1000V2. It didn't perform much better/nicer/insert description than most of my mid-fi stable (HD650 included). The problem is, I was listening to stuff that HK isn't best to represent its qualities: If you use them to listen to Metallica or similar stuff, you will be disappointed. It will perform well, but nothing special, especially for the price. I was contemplating returning them. But then I used to listen to some live vocal covers and oh dear God did I had an epiphany. Rock and metal sound GREAT , but, I am picky about source and just don't listen to bad recordings or crappy masters. You are right that a bad recording sounds awful. Recently traded in the Arya V2 (I've not heard the Organic) for the HE1000 Stealth. It's great that they offer this, btw. The trade-in prices are very reasonable. The HEK is more detailed (for better or worse), better bass, and the construction/comfort is a step up. The HE headband design is my favorite. I also tried the Harman curve EQ, but ultimately went back to stock with just some slight bass boost. As you said, I've never found the Hifimans to sound "bright" in the usual sense, despite the frequency measurements. It is not harsh like the HD800 or Beyerdynamics.

I agree with your thoughts about the Nano pretty much fully. It punches and slams very hard. It also has a very distinct and centered representation to notes, in which it well beats even the Arya Stealth imo. I owned both the Hifiman HEKSE and HEKStealth. Stealth has better tuning... by far. I'd go as far as saying it has tuning perfected. SE has better resolution and clarity... by far. No other headphone can do what it does. SE takes EQ so incredibly well that I was able to basically recreate the Stealth tuning and save it as an EQ template on my Macbook Pro. (Created one for the Ananda Stealth as well, which I also own and love the tuning of.) Hi, I was considering getting some Dekoni pads for my Arya Stealths, but I was wondering how much of a difference they actually make. Like the Hifiman Stock Pads vs Dekoni's Elite Hybrid.
Ananda Nano is a Fantastic Mixing Headphone! Never heard of it before, I compared it to the Audaze LCD-X and MM-500, the Focal Clear MG, the Suntara and many more. The Nano is displaying and revealing frequencies in the most accurate and clear way, specially when you EQ it a little bit. I was willing to spend nearly 2'000$ for the MM-500, which is a horrible headphone to me. I do not understand how someone can mix on them. Luckily my ears like a headphone which is not expensive :)
I liked the nano, organic and LCDx. What did you think of the mm500 vs the X? I found the organic similar to the bank but a bit less transient, more boosted highs and a much better sound stage. I quickly dismissed the clear mg. Not sure why.
Everybody talks about what model is better than the other but nobody speaks about the technicalities of it like the driver and the magnets and why one is better than the other. They just think well this one is 3000 so it's got to be better than the $1,500 one

I am listening now Arya Organic, through Mac mini, to Matrix SPDIF2(optical or IIS), to Matrix Element X2, and the experience is that I found the holographic sound of Audeze hps, and the dynamic sound of Focal, with a bigger stage and more precise(realistic) imaging . I think this is Arya Organic . ( yes I know, I have a problem with the definition of ,,holographic sound", which I think is about imaging AND stage, in the sense that a hp needs a good amount of stage, to express the good imaging and become holographic sounding )

Appreciate the review. I was so hyped to demo the Organic. My electronic music sounded great, great soundstage, everything was fine. The problem was when I got into my play list with nylon and steel string guitars and acoustic instruments. Everything sounded overly metallic and bright. Could have been a pairing issue, as you mentioned, but I am not sure. I've played flamenco and jazz guitar for a long time, so I know what those instruments are supposed to sound like; was really disappointed. Ah well, I will try the stealth and nano next and see how it goes. Thanks for your thoughts~
How was the stealth?? I've heard that the he1000 stealth is actually less bright than the Arya Organics and that it's actually even better for EDM than the Organics with a Bass boost what do you think I've been very curious and on the fence of which to buy...
@@soraflame66 All I can say is I really wanted a HIFIMAN headphone from their flagship range as well, but now I am not sure. If you only listen to EDM, you are probably fine. But other cheaper headphones might do it better if they have a bass boost. As far as I know the Organic is less bright compared to other high end HIFIMAN offerings, which scares me because I found the timbre of the Organic way off for acoustic music. Personally, my EDM sounds best on my Celestee, but I EQ the bass up a bit, and with my Ultrasone cans which have insane physical bass. The Signature X on drop is really cheap, might be worth a try as a closed back for bass.
i had all hifimans in that price range, so yes nano much better vs stealth (v2,v3) you will get less "air" in soundstage but you trade it for much, much better positioning and high frequency more "organic"
Hi Sajit, saw your top 10 iem ranking on headfi. For someone who loves bass, I'm surprised the Fatfreq Grand Maestro didn't make the cut. Where would you rank it?
I have both. Very different beasts. Focal Clear is punchier and warmer but has a slight metillic timbre. Ananda Nano is much bigger sounding with hyped treble and crazy seperation but can sound thin or harsh with some music. They're both detailed but give you the details in a different manner. The clears give you so much texture with accoustics like drums and hall size ect, you can hear singers take breaths. The nano has hyper detail with stringed instruments and high hats. I've owned the clears for a year and nano for 2 weeks.
The Focal is warmer and less fatiguing. But the Nano is larger and more faster. Hyper detailed. Much larger staging. If you use EQ, no comparison. The Ananda Nano all the way. It slams hard while being hyper detailed and stages wide and tall
I have the HEKV2 Stealth and the Atrium. It’s not even close. IMO the bass on the HEKV2 Stealth is very weak. Of all the headphones I own it has the weakest bass. AirPods 2 has more bass than them. The Atrium has great bass, definitely on the almost boosted bass side depending on which pads you use.
Driver variance must be insane with Hifiman as I just came from another youtube video that was saying the complete opposite, that Arya Organic is brighter than HE1000 Stealth, and also wider in stage.
I just upgraded from the XS. The bass is less than the XS, but the quality is better. The detail of the Nano is much better. The details sparkle in the ear. The downside of the Nano for me compared to the XS is that the treble is a bit too high for my ears. Overall, if you want more detail, a little bit better bass, and are willing to pay for it, it's worth the upgrade.
I've heard the Ananda, the nano, edition XS, 650 and 660s2. The vocals are much better and more realistic tonality with the 650 and the 660s2.... The planars do other stuff better but not vocals....
17:21 I feel like there's a lot of fearmongering about treble in the audiophile community. Id wager to guess most people aren't treble sensitive when they first get into hifi, but they're conditioned to be treble sensitive due to reviewers spending most of the time criticizing treble/brightness
Yeah. They don't complain about mids despite mids being by far the most painful in the frequency spectrum. Boosted mids make dubstep snares hurt like hell.
I upgraded from HE1000 V2 to Susvara. The resolution difference is very noticeable. Haven't heard HE1000 V2 stealth. My first Hifiman was Arya V2. Felt the treble was too much. Then I got HE1000 V2. It also has a lot of treble energy (comparing to HD6xx etc), but the sound is so smooth and refined. Susvara is just a different level, noticeably more holographic (although soundstage is not as big).
I completely disagree. When you are describing HE1000S, you are highlighting the qualities of V2, not stealth. Stealth is actually a far more balanced headphones.

Arya Stealth or Arya Organic or HE1000 Stealth?
The brightness can be tamed using different sources. How much? 0.2 db?
Which one has the easier treble on the ear, nano or organic?
Hi! Its a better overall headphone Ananda Nano than Arya Stealth?
It will help me a lot!.
i had all hifimans in that price range, so yes nano much better vs stealth (v2,v3) you will get less "air" in soundstage but you trade it for much, much better positioning and high frequency more "organic"
Hi Sajit, saw your top 10 iem ranking on headfi. For someone who loves bass, I'm surprised the Fatfreq Grand Maestro didn't make the cut. Where would you rank it?
fair question - it's reaching me soon. It's a nice one a bit too subbass oriented but yes definitely a top 15 contender
Where I can find that rank?
Is the soundstage of the Ananda Nano also 95% of the Arya Organic?
Awesome explanation 👍
great and competent review
Hi! How do you compare Ananda Nano vs Focal Clear OG?
How would the bass/slam compare to say something like the ZMF atrium closed or to ZMF fare in general?
I have the HEKV2 Stealth and the Atrium. It’s not even close. IMO the bass on the HEKV2 Stealth is very weak. Of all the headphones I own it has the weakest bass. AirPods 2 has more bass than them. The Atrium has great bass, definitely on the almost boosted bass side depending on which pads you use.
whats the difference with arya stealth and arya organic. the stealth is 600 dollar right now an the organic 1000. trying to decide which
If you can afford it just go straight for the organic. It's better then the arya stealth
Audeze not on your list ???
i’ve been searching for the sennheiser 8650 but no avail. is it no longer available?
He is saying HD650. It is still available
And what about the he1000se that it s now at 2kusd
Missing Hekse here.
Review forthcoming
Driver variance must be insane with Hifiman as I just came from another youtube video that was saying the complete opposite, that Arya Organic is brighter than HE1000 Stealth, and also wider in stage.
I think you might be right. I'm getting mixed reviews here. I'm sensitive to treble and have no idea which one to pick.
Does anyone know how the XS compares to the Nano? Worth the upgrade?
I just upgraded from the XS. The bass is less than the XS, but the quality is better. The detail of the Nano is much better. The details sparkle in the ear. The downside of the Nano for me compared to the XS is that the treble is a bit too high for my ears. Overall, if you want more detail, a little bit better bass, and are willing to pay for it, it's worth the upgrade.
@@zero8978 thanks, I ended up buying the Ayra stealth in the end. They are fantastic headphones 👍
@@colonelbasic9736arya organics better then arya stealth
I've heard the Ananda, the nano, edition XS, 650 and 660s2.
The vocals are much better and more realistic tonality with the 650 and the 660s2....
The planars do other stuff better but not vocals....
Shajit. The problem with hifi man Is always the cheap material. I can never justify buying it for thousands of rupees for cheap plastic
sony what? 1990s?
17:21 I feel like there's a lot of fearmongering about treble in the audiophile community. Id wager to guess most people aren't treble sensitive when they first get into hifi, but they're conditioned to be treble sensitive due to reviewers spending most of the time criticizing treble/brightness
Yeah. They don't complain about mids despite mids being by far the most painful in the frequency spectrum. Boosted mids make dubstep snares hurt like hell.
il ressemble à un tueur rose
dis à Ananda de passer au budget he1000
I upgraded from HE1000 V2 to Susvara.
Agree
U need to try the h1000Stealth and give me your impressions compared to them please!! Haha.
Interesting. So even tho a lot of audio content creators criticize Joshua, he's right about organic and susvara for soundstaging.
I completely disagree. When you are describing HE1000S, you are highlighting the qualities of V2, not stealth. Stealth is actually a far more balanced headphones.
