Now THAT is my dream room!! 💚💚💚 I super, duper love them all!! I know nothing about keeping toads, so I'd definitely be interested in learning more about pet toads in general, and any differences between keeping frogs and keeping toads, if any. I would LOVE to see a tank, by tank video even if it was hours long!! Haha I'd bring a drink and snack and tuck in for the long haul 🤣🤣 I can't repeat it enough, I love that your content is Canadian!! You've already quadrupled my list of links to so many more knowledgeable keepers, breeders, suppliers who are ALL AVAILABLE IN CANADA!! You're seriously the best!! 💚💚💚 Now on to replay your next video.....I'm determined to watch them all eventually!! 🤣🤣 Thanks!!
Jungle Jewel's room is something to behold hahah. Thanks so much for all the comments and support you have shown the channel. Feel free to message me on IG if you are looking for something and can't find it. I'm hoping next time I'm in Calgary I get to film that super long tank by tank tour... I'm sure Lucas and Dawn will hate me by the end of the filming session hahah.
@MikeTytula Haha I'll have my snacks and drinks ready, can't wait to see it!! 🤣🤣 You're seriously awesome, I haven't decided if I'm going to expand my currently small collection yet (err....haven't convinced my husband yet 🤭 ) but I'll definitely message you if I do. I really want to have a few species that I absolutely adore some day. Love your channel, love that you're local-ish too!! Thanks again 💚💚💚
Amazing and great work! Very artistic and naturalistic settings for the darts. I used to have a few species of darts and they lived nice and comfy and thrived, but I never had this many tanks or such extensive background scenery. Bravo.
hands down the greatest to work with ordering to shipping / packaging and even shipping when they have been coming thru b.c - always best! and when im back in it here soon- will be ordering again!
Mike I always love the frog vids! It’s what brought me to your channel in the first place years ago believe it or not. A tank by tank, in depth video would be incredible. I’ll take all the frog content I can get! Love what you do as always, thanks, and keep it up 🤙🤙
Yes! Yes! YES! LOVED this video!! SO many gorgeous frogs! 😍 They’re so quiet in the frog room though. Are Dart Frogs normally that quiet? I love the BumbleBee frogs! Absolutely stunning! 😍 (I think I’ve decided on what my first frogs are gonna be. Thank you for this video 😊)
Awesome room tour with an awesome collection. My heart is crying since I had to sell my 10 tanks back in the day but I am still grateful for being able to have two tanks left with Pumilios
Every day to every other day feeding dusted flies We cycle through dendrocare at every feeding, Carotenoids once a week and vitamin A once a month. Our tadpoles are typically fed BugPro - a high quality high protein fish food.
Cohabbing and husbandry tips would be great. Like can Ranitomeya amazonica be housed with Dendrobates auratus and can you have a small shallow waterfall in the tank? Will they eat dwarf isopods? That sort of stuff.
I could watch frog room tours all day long! For a pond feature like in the tank at 9:08, is there any special maintenance to keep it? Are the stones completely disconnected with the soil area? How often would you have to change the water, if at all? Really like to have a small pond like that in my next build, if I won't need to use a pump
Depends how much water you want in it, I would still recommend draining it every so often to make sure the water isn't foul or anything. But they basically just let the misting water fill it up and if the water level gets to high they drain it.
That is a great idea! I do have several videos on the channel that feature their room and their passion for the hobby! I will definitely try and get them to do a tank by tank adventure next time I am at their place.
Omg you always give us such a tease with these videos I want a 20-30 minute video😩the harlequin frogs are absolute beauty I follow the guy who first captive produced these he rarely post them tho:(((
Some of the tanks have beautiful green moss covering the entire side walls. Does that form naturally? Or do you apply one of those muddy moss mixes to get that?
They make their own custom tops for their enclosures, 3/4 glass and 1/4 screen. I'm not entirely sure what their misting schedule is, you could always reach out to them facebook or instagram.
Hello! I'm currently trying to get a 24"×24"×18" tank set up for Dart frogs but I'm having serious issues with my plants. Particularly my bromeliads. No matter what I do they keep drying, getting soggy, and then dying completely. I've tried new pups, well established mothers, more lighting, less lighting, more water, less water, I've tried bottled water, home distilled water, store bought distilled water, conditioned tap water, I have a humidifier puming into the tank that monitors humidity to keep things stable. Multiple other plants keep dying too, mostly on just one side of the tank. Any ideas what it could be? Getting expensive to keep putting more plants in just for them to keep dying!
I loooove the trips to Jungle Jewel! Any footage you gather from there would be welcome by me. I'll gladly watch and thumbs up, regardless. I doubt there will be much demand, but I would enjoy some plant info. Dart vivs are my favorite, because of the ability to grow spectacular plants you can't grow in any other type of vivarium. The orchid (micro orchid?) you featured in this vid was incredible. Maybe you could just point out their favorite plants, their most rare, whatever? Anyway, awesome piece, as usual. Peace
@@MikeTytula that's awesome. I can't believe you remembered my name lol. I still don't know what yt did exactly, why my name changed to this, some goofy crap I put in my application when I registered for the channel nearly 20yrs ago? I can't figure out how to change it back lol
More frogs and more vids. But seriously when you said tank by tank, he looked at you like your nuts hahaha. If he really doesn't mind that would be freaking awesome to see more. I personally would like to learn more about the feeding. specifically, is it simple to mess with fruit fly's or is it a pain in the ass. If it were just some simple crickets like my old leopard gecko, then ok lol.
Fruit flies are easy, but you do have to understand that they do get out, they are flightless so they aren't much of a bother, but it still happens. I really hope we are able to do a tank by tank video next time! It would be a TON of work for us but I hope it would be fun for the people!
Wow, those yellowbacks, never seen those before. I've just gotten into the video and already I've seen a bunch I've never before seen. Shorts, eh? Ughhh. I don't fault you for making them, I hate yt for trying to compete with another totally different social media site, one I'm not a fan of, and pushing this crap on the creators. I'm sure yours will be great. Dayyon makes some bomb shorts. He's got a knack for it. Can't wait for the Madagascar content. A Q&A Madagascar stream would be awesome.

@@MikeTytula I always get overwelmed trying to budget a build cuz theres so much that goes into it. I used to catch treefrogs and salamanders in ohio with a friend and he a really cool paladarium for them and this year I think I am finally gunna drop a paycheck on it. haha
Tank by tank would be an amazing video. Would love to know more about the harlequin toads too.
Right on! They are really neat species, I might even be able to make a video about the harlequin toads not at their house!

Niiiice. I love those little suckers, too
Great harlequin toads and harlequin rasboras!
Tank by tank would be awesome! I gotta live vicariously through their collection

those Atelopus barbotini are so friggen cool
Ya they truly are! Even the elegans are nice as well.
When i 1st saw pics of them I thought they were fake!!!
They are amazing to work with.
Tadpols and froglet grow outs and set ups plus eggs
Sounds good!
Their whole life cycle and metamorphosis is amazing to witness.
Great video Mike! Thanks for featuring the Tad-Pools and the success with the Sylvaticas :)
No problem!! :) they work great! I wish I had bought the suction cup attachment haha
Great Video !!! I love when you visit Jungle Jewels.

I just came home from school and there's a new Mike Tytula video! Holy cow Jungle Jewel has a big frog room.
You bet!! Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you! Hope you enjoyed the tour.

Would love to see more on Ranitomeya
Good to know! They are typically more shy and harder to get on camera that is why I dont show many in this video.
They are amazing. And one of the early frogs we work with.
We need a way to get a bunch of them on camera, I think I have idea of how we can do that!
This is a good contribution to nature conservation
I mean it's a great thing for the hobby, but not really doing much for conservation, other than maybe awareness?

Feeding schedule and type of food for frogs frogles and tadpols
I do have a dart frogs for beginners video on my channel (Probably due for a refresh I suppose) that goes over much of this stuff

Awesome. I would like to see a tank to tank video and indebt species and build an aquarium tips. One day when I have the money.
I plan to do that next time I am there! which should be this spring!
Some of the tanks have beautiful green moss covering the entire side walls. Does that form naturally? Or do you apply one of those muddy moss mixes to get that?
I believe that most of it occurs naturally.

Mostly sunblaster LEDs
Tank builds
I really won't be able to do a tank build at their place because of the time required to make a video like that. But I explained it in this video.

8:26 What is this??😍😍😍
Thats a mourning gecko
Glass frogs please
Hopefully!! :)
One of my favs. But tricky to fully capture their full glory.
Agreed
Yes yes yes .,. please do a tank by tank tour 1 to 1 1/2 hour video would satisfy me for a week... maybe 😆
Hahaha you would need to watch it over and over again!
A full tank by tank might be a bit longer watch!!
But it would be epic!
Most definitely would be a longer watch!
What do you feed your frogs besides fruit flies? Do you ever deal with fruit fly culture crashes do to mites ? Thanks
Pretty much exclusively fruit flies. And not that I have found, some of mine have mites but they never completely crash
What is your misting schedule for the higher humidity species and are they full screened tops on your tanks or partial? Thanks for the video. 👍
