To all who are getting confused on the BB line up I can understand where you are coming from and it is true that RIM is competing against itself in a way. The other side of the coin is the fact that RIM must cater to every audience they can right now just to stay in the game. Due to them being the leaders for so long they relaxed on innovation and now they are paying the price. I like this new more compact, more cost effective 9790 Bold. It's great for people who prefer to have a new os7 Bold with touch-screen. I prefer to keep my 9900 though. I like the larger touch-screen, etc. I'm not liking the new separated keys along the middle. Dunno what that change is all about. Also, I understand RIM is introducing a lot of new phones all at once, but don't really get what all the confusion is about.

Then the batteries keep getting worse then better etc etc. Despite this new device their flagship is still the 9900 yet this one has autofocus n possibly a better battery? now they need one of these w/o touch. the 9700/9780 had one of the best batteries out there, why use smaller batteries now?

Why is everyone having a cow? The reason they made this apart from the 9900 is because it is cost effective, it has all the same perks and it's smaller (something that girls like, because the 9900 is way too big for my hands). I love how they released this, it's giving a lot to choose from. AND it has BB os7. I'ma get mine =)

How's that hard to remember? The others are last gen phones, only thing "new" is they brought back the 9000 style (fans choice) and put out a cheaper full touch curve. Get over it! Go look at HTC, Samsung and Moto and it's the the same thing if not more.

BB Bold 9790... £350, 2.4in screen, 5mp cam, no front cam, bbos (ugh), though perhaps the best keyboard even though no direct access to puncuation makes me wonder why everyone says it is... best deal? defo not the BB... get real.

I have the 9790 and its a great phone the speakers on it sound great I have no complaints about this phone
