Agreed. For a part with so many moving pieces that can fail so regularly, it's absurd it's not replaceable. I have multiple laptops out of warranty that have one or two failed keys and are thus garbage.

Ok but like what if you have the x55 wwan module and you got 2 antenna wires but 4 places to connect them. Is that WWAN card even one on the list of approved units?

The answer turns out was. Oh just use any FR1 capable 5g antenna the same as the wifi card because FR2 towers and the antennas to match only exist in labs and fantasy novels about the future.

Lets make a decent laptop with a solid set of chips and then fix the intel iris at the bios to 512 mb of ram dedication, give it the smallest amounts of hard drive, ram, and then totally overlook that with minor tweeking your frame IS a heatsink. And you have the HP 840 G8. Now will you please take your work seriously and release the hostage that is my bios setting to reflect modern standard. Mobile video chips can ship with 16GB of DDR6 can I get 16Gb to be the max setting on this unit? Or will the whole thing burst into flames?

Having the keyboard built into the top cover instead of it being a separate piece was the dumbest decision ever.
