    Nice. You should ask Kitty Litter and All for some ad money.

      Kitty Litter sent me a coupon for a free bucket of said kitty litter. All sent me 10 buckets of detergent with the understanding that I'd donate the detergent to a rehab in my area. It was all given to the Mission of Hope where I was saved. 😊

    If your still in the hotel, there is a bike shop called Gearup Velo about 2 miles from you if you need any help with your bike, (very close to the towpath).

      Thank you so much! I wish I would have known that yesterday. I did a spoke replacement on my rear wheel, and fixed the shifting, while super bored during the snow. If anything else comes up though, I definitely will go there! Thank you!!!

    Man, I did not know you use that heavy German lock.

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do. It's one of those weights I don't mind. I bought it before the Atlantic Coast because I'd be in such a heavily populated area. It allowed me to go up the Empire State Building in NYC without being worried that my bike was locked to a lamppost. It comes in handy most often at grocery stores, Walmart, restaurants and while I'm asleep in areas I don't know.

    Studded tires would help on the frozen pavement with knee and elbow protection 👍👁❤☝️

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's a purchase I'm having trouble making because of the extra weight, and the fact that (hopefully) based on the extended weather forecasts, these are the last below freezing daytimes left on this trip. If for some reason it continues, I will most definitely have to buy some. Thanks for commenting!

    Love the cotton-welding hat. Where do I get one?

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Anywhere that sells welding supplies. Tractor supply is where I bought the one I have now. ALWAYS buy one that is really loose. Like you can fit your thumbs under each side pretty easily to make it tight. Then go wash and dry it a couple times. It will fit like a charm!

    I was wondering about the Cokes when you were showing the water. 😆
    And how many ounces of water are the filters good for before you need to change them? Do you just buy new ones or is there a filter part that you change out?
    How much does the bike weigh fully loaded? So in effect, how much you hauling uphill? Well, I guess the latter question includes your weight also.

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤣🤪😎 Gotta have the coca cola.
      So, Sawyer's website says good to filter 100,000 gallons. After that, one would need to buy a new one. Here's there site: www.sawyer.com/products/mini-water-filtration-system
      I need to weigh the bike fully loaded. I'm sure it's between 85-100 lbs. I weigh 165. So, I'm moving 245-265 lbs. (110-118kg). The people I ride for are worth it though. Their burden is much heavier. ❤️🙏

    Do you ever thing about aerodynamics of the buckets? Or is weight more of an issue than the aerodynamics?

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They're definitely not aero. Some days it feels like I'm trying to swing a refrigerator box at a baseball. But... no panniers are going to be really aero. One has to lose some of that benefit to carry more stuff. Weight is more what I focus on. The less I can carry, the better. There's never an easy way to climb a hill with extra weight, but when I'm headed downwind, the buckets act like sails. So, I definitely class weight above aerodynamics. Plus, the conversations started by the buckets are priceless.

    • @myheartwalks
      @myheartwalks 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RedeemingEden But aren't the buckets much heavier than regular paniers? I would think their weight would be more than the conversation starters.

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd have to weigh the buckets compared to the panniers. I'm gonna say it's probably really close. The buckets are very, very light.

    Remind me: do you still use a drone?

    • @RedeemingEden
      @RedeemingEden  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, no. It was lost by FedEx (along with an entire kitty litter Bucket and detergent bucket covered with irreplaceable stickers) on the way home from the RESET tour. I chose to buy the 360 camera and mount, and some viewers couldn't handle it. So, if you ever hear of anyone that wants to trade a GoPro Max for a DJI Mavic Mini, I'm your guy.

    "(. . .Being a Nazaritenn Friar is a christian platform for the preaching of the gospel of salvation!)"
    Being a Nazaritenn Friar is a Vocation, a "Way" of Life"..."or Hodos in Greek"
    A Nazaritenn Friar is not a Roman Catholic or Protestant, we are not calvinist or arminian. We are first century believers in the Way of Christ or Hodos in the Greek.
    This is my day...most days...
    Personal hygiene 6:00 AM
    Morning Prayer Praise and Worship 6:30 AM
    Breakfast 7:30 AM
    Breaking Camp 8:00AM and getting back on the road 8:30
    A lot of times, Lunch is eaten on the bicycle or I might stop at a convenience store or fast food restaurant.
    On a bicycle tour you eat small meals all day long as you travel.
    1. Prayer 12:30pm
    2.Study 2:00pm
    3.Liturgy3:30pm
    4.Prayer and Praise 5:00 pm
    5.Dinner...5:30
    6.Personal Time 8:00
    I try and find a camp sight an hour before the sun goes down...this is part of my personal time...I like praying a modified Jesus Prayer, as I am setting up camp. The Jesus Prayer a long with other kinds of prayers are prayed all day long.
    Jesus Prayer...
    "Jesus the Christ, God Son, my Savior,
    Have Mercy on me your Servant :II"
    Now these times can very...for bicycle travel...and witnessing or Open Air Preaching. . .people do invite me into there homes.
    A lot of my praying is done as I am pedaling my bicycle. Prayer needs...I am a strong believer in the gifts, of the Holy Ghost, and pray in tongues, a lot as I'm riding my bicycle...
    Now God can change any of this at any time... The times are not always exact times. . .things can very...once in a Town or City...I will look for places to do Open Air Preaching or one on one wtinesssing... The time schedule above is a way to keep me on track not sidetracked by things that can use up my time . . .
    Any time I stop to pray, I will also have my bible opened ready to read some passages.

    "Mendicant living. . . Nazaritenn Friars"
    As Nazaritenn Friars, and member's of the Order of Naw-Zeer, Way of Christ. . .Christ Way of Living, we vow ourselves to the challenge of living in simplicity, chastity and obedience in the presence of God in Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit... In this way, we further the work of Jesus and his Apostles in for filling the Great Commission...
    1.By going into all the World with what we can carry.
    2.Living by faith.
    3.Believing God to meet all our needs.
    4.And preaching the Gospel of Salvation to all people God brings into our path...Mark 16:15
    We live our life's seeking opportunities to share the message of Salvation effectively with all mankind.
    We realize that we are not promised tomorrow and that today may be the last chance for someone to hear the good news of the gospel, before slipping into eternity.
    When given an opportunity to share our faith we will do so with utmost concern and knowledge that this could be the last chance that somebody could have to hear the Gospel message of Salvation...before dying and entering into eternity with or without Christ as their Lord and Savior!
    We are committed as a lifestyle to fulfill the Great Commission. Going into all the World to Preach the Gospel of Salvation, to all mankind. . .With the knowledge, of the Urgency of this matter, that we might never get to share with the person in front of us ever again and this opportunity could be their only chance to hear the Gospel of Salvation, before they die and enter into eternity. . .forever!
    Forsake all whosoever Luke 14:33 the Mark 16:15 because of Romans 10:13-17 . . .Hodos!
    You can't even become a disciple without forsaking all first...words of Jesus!
