I was lucky enough to see him once in concert. His gentle, but powerful, aura could be strongly felt before he even sang. One of the highlights of my life!
That was something that I sadly missed out on. I was in my early 20s when he passed away. I was devastated.
That’s so cool…I saw him once at a giant San Francisco New Year’s Eve party put on by est founder Werner Erhard. They were good friends. Before then I actually thought I didn’t like him but seeing that show changed my mind totally. Nothing but huge appreciation and respect for him ever since. A complicated man and his talent was absolutely clear.
John Denver sounds so good live (which you could not say about many modern singers). He always tells a story and his voice is so soothing. At one time, I believe, he was more popular than Frank Sinatra. He was far too young when he died and the world is a sadder place for his passing.
He was great live. I saw him a couple of times in my life.
Yes, his concerts were wonderful. His joy in his music was so clear. When it was time for the musicians to take a break, he sent them on while he pulled up a stool and a guitar and kept us just as entranced, all by himself. He did not take a break. We far more than got our money's worth. So proud of my fellow Air Force brat.
Beautiful Song Nobody Can Write Or Sing Like John Did Missed Loved Around The World Hard To Believe It's Nearly 26 Years Since We Lost Him 💔💔💔💔😭😭😭😭
He lost himself in that plane. Hubris.
During John's career he caught a lot of flak from detractors for "being to sappy or flowery" and they noted this song here. It was a time when the world was turning quickly more violent and corrupted, with wars, etc. like we have today. It's too bad we can't hear more music like this now.
Isn't that what WAP is about? 🤦♂
Obviously the cool kids never listened to the song while taking a first run down Riva Ridge on a sunny Colorado morning. It’s perfect
An incredible poet, beautiful voice, and great musician, John Denver had it all. I went to many of his concerts and he had a unique way of showing his audience that he, indeed, loved to sing for us. With over 30 albums, he left us with an enduring legacy of enduring music.
We so need more John Denver’s in this world ❤
It's was magical. I saw him in concert twice. All his music was singable. He often encourage people to sing with him,
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way, one of the best lyrics in a song ever
I loved his voice too, as a kid i used to listen to his album....on a thing we called a record player, lol! He's the OG of folk singers!
👍🏻👩🦳
I understand what you are saying. Fortunately I was there for a couple of his concerts. He was an amazing performer! He had a gift, a way of communicating with the audience that very few have. Every last person in that audience had the feeling that the entire show was just for them.
John was absolutely amazing. I still mourn his passing even after 26 years
He has a lovely vibrato. Always loved John Denver.
love to hear you reaction to his "Thank God, I'm a Country Boy"
Amen! Or "Saturday night in Toledo Ohio"
John was an American treasure. 😊
ThistleAndSea. and he still is
“Back Home Again” is a heartfelt song too. Mostly forgotten, but it shouldn’t be, it’s beautiful! ❤️
One of my most favorite John Denver songs!
I love John Denver's voice. H
is songs are so emotional, the lyrics touch my soul and his pure vocals are so soothing. I miss him so much!
Grew up loving his music. My parents were so great on vacations, they played John, the Beatles, the Who. We all sang along for weeks in the car. Saw John 3 times in concert, perfect every time. Huge loss, him.
I love to see how his music moves you. It has always made me feel like that when I was a teenager and I didn't know anyone else like that. My future mother-in-law bought me a cassette for Christmas with his best hits in 1989-1990. I was maybe 18-19 years old. I treasured it.
I was blessed to be able seeJohn several times and was so devastated when he died. Your words say exactly what I’ve ever felt. I love and miss him so much.
You don't need words...the tears and the beautiful smile tell your story ♥️
Pure voice...a special man.
Thank you! Beautiful song
So many of the greats from my youth which I took for granted are now gone. Such a pleasure to see you discover them.

Saw him at the Universal Amphitheater in 1974, first time listening to live music in my life at age 16. Sure miss him due the tragedy of his death in 1997.
Makes me tear up too
JOHN Was A MASTER OF HIS CRAFT. HE WILL FOREVER BE MISSED❤
Such a lovely song and arrangement with the sax.
I've heard it done by him w/a little less reverb in his voice...Magical! Ty for bringing back good memories. Have a Nice Day!🏵🌞
This song always brings me joy. His talent was like no other.
I just love to watch you smile! Such a beautiful soul have.. your reaction warm my heart❤❤
John Denver has a beautiful way of inspiring gratefulness
His voice was so clear and beautiful. I miss him so much! He was a treasure. I'm so glad young people have the chance to feel his music. I'm grateful that I was young at the time when he was so popular.
I was one lucky one to been in John Denver concerts and from this day I play his music he had a voice that no one could will live on in my heart ❤️
This was the number one song while I was serving in the Arctic in the Navy. The winter was 24 hours of icy darkness. When the sun finally came out in the spring we were awed. The song brings those emotions.
i am enjoying the reaction she is having by hearing someone we have heard for so many years! enjoy it as much as you can.
Thank you Sarah! "Sunshine" is what I needed on this grey morning. This was an older John, still a lovely voice, but not as strong on the high notes any longer. Try his "Calypso", an ode to Jacques Cousteau's ocean exploring ship. John could yodel!
Oh @bonnievonbraun6276, I know that song, Calypso.
I was a child and when The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau was going on I be on PBS at night, I was allowed to stay up “late” to watch
I’d be excited all day in school, and I thought everyone else thought this way.
It was my father, of blessed memory, who encouraged me to be a scientist, as he was.
We also had a cat named Calypso.
Sarah, you are pure lovely. ❤
This is possibly the most beautiful song ever written.
I cried along with you while he was singing. I just love his voice so much. Like some others below, I too was fortunate enough to see John live in concert (my first date with my husband!). He was wonderful! Thank you for the memories! (from Lise Hull)
You are a beautiful person, Sarah. I love watching you as you watch John sing. I still miss him, so sad to lose such a wonderful artist. He sang from his heart. Thank you for posting this for us. I just subscribed. Looking forward to more videos.
Hi, John wrote this song helped with Mike Taylor and Dick Kniss, on a rainy day in Minnesota. It's a classic song. Love your reaction Sarah. 👃
John Denver had an angelic voice. The man sounded like an angel. And I miss him so much.
Yes, he had the gentle-sounding voice and the aura that made people love his music. R.I.P. John... you left us far too soon, far too soon.
Anyone who's a John Denver fan wishes they were at this concert.
Beautiful rendition. Honestly, I would not have added the saxophone but it was still really nice.
John Denver was a songs best friend,, I don't remember who said it but growing up during his popularity I remember it being said,, truly missed
Saw John live in Palm Desert, CA I think in 1994 or 1995. I was living in that area, and my mom got me tickets as an early Christmas present. Great concert, up close and personal.
Love John Denver i was raised on his beautiful music and he was great with the muppets too.
This is just killing me - my 20th ... Your face and reaction makes me hope for the future!
Angelic beauty. Really miss him and his talent.
I agree,love John and jis music ❤
I mean his music.
(Request) Starlight by Oktaf Kanis 🙌🏻
I had no idea you'd never heard John Denver! Welcome to greatness! 😊 (But find it with just the guitar. Much nicer!) I miss him. 🥲
He put so much into so few lines. I still listen to his recordings my vinyl
I love your smile. I love John Denver too.😊
I'm old now but I was compared to John Denver when I was young, and I sang and played guitar. I have always been an outdoorsman in touch with nature but I feel like I have lived through so many emotional times that have beaten me down. I was devastated when he died. Listen to his song Rocky Mountain High, which wreaks my emotions. Sarah, I don't know who you are or where you are from but, if you can, visit the Rocky Mountains next summer, and play John one evening.
Your expression says it all. Brilliant musician taken too soon
Sarah, you are literally stardust and sunshine.
gola girl good video and your reactions are excellent from Uruguay 🇺🇾🤪🤟 greetings
YEAH, HE HAD ONE OF THOSE GOSPEL TYPE VOICES SARAH, DEFINITELYYYYY DIFFERENT! 😊NOW HE'S DOING IT IN THE CELESTIAL SKIES 😊HE IS MISSED☹
I love watching your face light up how beautiful you are. much Love.
I love John Denver❤ Try "Looking for Space" or "Annie's Song"
First let me say I love your reactions. Now you need to listen to Rocky Mountain High and Hey it's Good to be Back Home Again both by John Denver
I wish someone could sing like this to us again. ❤
I saw him in the round at Madison Square Garden
He is missed. You should listen to I’m sorry and Calypso. Great songs to react to.
You should listen to Sohyang singing THE POWER OF LOVE.
♥
Try My Sweet Lady
Listen to "country roads"
Could you please react to: Scorpions - Still Loving You (Official Video)
Scorpions is a German hard rock band from Hannover, formed in 1965 as Nameless, released their first album in 1972 and still exists today.
Since the band's inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal to soft rock.
Listen to Annie’s Song
So fine!
Sorry Tina. You were damn good, but JD is simply the best.
I grew up with this beautiful music, great for guitar students, every kid seemed to have a song book of JD's songs.
Such a shame he was such an a^^hole of a man - horrible neighbor and a wife beater. It's not uncommon for people born with great talent to be this way, especially the ones who live in the spotlight. Bad behavior hides all around us.
There are also good things he did. All his charity work for instance.
Also, he never beat his wife (if it’s Annie you’re referring to, anyhow, I don’t know much about his second wife). The story you’re likely remembering is when he took a chainsaw to their marital bed after Annie had Denver’s favorite trees cut down while he was away
