    Curious about something. If a person has type 1 and yet to be diagnosed and treated, how do the organs and muscles get energy if insulin is needed to move from the blood stream (but not being produced by the pancreas)? Don’t the organs starve (or do they cannabilize themselves)?

      Hi, the body can break down fat to produce ketones which can be used as fuel for cells. Has some nasty consequences though. I would recommend reading up on dibatic keto acidosis if you're curious. Type one will be fatal eventually if untreated.
