I like it but i do not know how well it will hold up due to wear and tear. I just ordered some small sheets of it to try what you are doing.. very nice looking wallet
Definetly a legitimate concern, given the price of the raw material you could make these at a very reasonable price. Also, I don’t think there would be an expectation that this wallet would last as long as one made from leather.
Nice video, wallet looks fabulous! Is that pure cork or it has PU rubber backing?
Thank you! The cork fabric has an exterior that is 100% cork and an interior that is 63% polyurethane, 24% polyester, 13% Cotton blend.
@@NorfolkHandmade where did you purchase the cork fabric?
Mbcork.com, buckleguy also sells some.
Fascinating. I must give this material a try.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
& for once, music that adds to the experience.❤️
Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻 I'm glad you enjoyed the music choice.
Bravo

great video do you have a pattern for this cant see it on your website
I don’t have a pattern for this specific wallet but you can download the bifold template for $2. That’s the closest to this one.
What is the tool you're using on the edges @ 2:10 ?
It’s called an edge creaser. You can find the model I have at Rocky Mountain Leather, Electric Edge Creaser Summit X1.
What are you backing this with? Interested in trying out cork!
Nothing. The cork is supported by a fabric so there is no need to add anything. Unless you want to add more structure.
What is the thickness of cork sheet ?
I think it’s about 1-1.5mm
