Nice video Here in NW Ohio I have been catching a lot of Large Mouth , Small Mouth and Rock Bass I caught 10+ Small Mouth up to 3 lb , 20+ Large Mouth up to 3 lb and 20+ Rock Bass today All on the 6 Weight fly rod I was fishing grasshopper flies in 3-5 foot of water right next to the bank
@@timdienhart3738 The Portage River About 1/2 way between Oak Harbor and SR 590 Ever heard of Strawberry Rock ? In that area I use a kayak and launch from a farmers lane that runs to the river
@@timdienhart3738 The Sandusky river from Fremont upstream a long ways is also great Find a place to park by a bridge and go wading or use a small boat or kayak They took out the dam in Fremont , so Large mouth , Small mouth , Channel Cats , Rock Bass and White bass Can be caught WAY upstream I also fish the creeks that flow into the Sandusky river Like the last mile before it enters the river This summer was bad because of the low water But the bass are moving up into the creeks again to fatten up Crawfish , hopper or streamer flies all are working good right now
Don't they taste good the small mouth? You can't keep some of them and keep your trout you can't keep the other ones. They look like. Pretty good fish to eat
I like what y’all do, been following for awhile. The only thing that I don’t like is that you guys don’t share what rivers you are fishing in. Other than that everything is is good. You go into detail about what you’re fishing for and what you are using and that’s gate , just wish you would share the names of the rivers y’all fish. I understand if you don’t want to, I get it. I will still keep watching tho 👍
@@COLE_and_JAY that's cool, I catch them 5 to 6 pounds up here and I don't like catching them. They fight good but I'm fishing for 15 inch to over 30 inch walleye ,up over 40 inch pike large trout of all sorts and Salmon, bass get in the way. I'm a good guy I let them go but many I know practice kos on bass I don't agree with them but they don't belong here like that either. If you like catching small mouth my cousin guides for them, you can catch 50 fish a day right now, and still get fish to eat. Can't keep bass unless their huge over 22 inch but that's super rare. I could get you in touch.
@@FixItWithFishinlike the entire country is gonna just pick up and travel pay for out of state licenses and fish out the system, it just doesn't happen like that. Now a smaller lake is different of course but naming off a river isn't gonna hurt anything.

Cole have yall ever fished kings or crooked? Love crooked plan on floating kings soon for smallies
We fish crooked a lot; haven't been to kings in a few years
A Hint
If your plastic is slipping on the jig hook
A dab of Super Glue works wonders
I never use braided line
You should try it with p-line as your leader. You'll probably love it
When you say redeye bass, is that the same as a rock bass?
No, we don't have rock bass in Arkansas. The Ozark red eye bass is in the same group as that of rock bass!
Did you say your 10lb braid is equivalent to 6lb mono? You are fun to watch.😅
In line diameter. It's actually closer to 4lb mono in diameter.
@@COLE_and_JAY what size mono where You using in front of the braid or were you using mono?
Make sure you hit the like button 🙏
Wat ur friend fishing rod company name
Why you not keeping them trout
I kept a limit
What river is it? Trying to figure what w b 3 hours from Conway.
The Spring River in Mammoth Spring is three hours away 15:36
That would be the Spring River
@@joeclark312 thanks. I’m in Clarksville and have never been to the Spring River. I may float it next summer.

Why do you want smallmouth, the trout are 100 times better.
I like both but prefer to catch the smallies in this river.

Why,why, why, won't you name the river? Only complaint I have ever had about your vidio presentations.
Don’t know for sure, but I think it’s the Spring River right down from my house 13:56
I wish they would as well
Y'all know exactly what would happen if the location was named.
It’s obvious why he doesn’t, he doesn’t want you and 70000 other people going there and ruining his ability to shoot good content. Be real
