I previously owned an MSI GE60-2PF and it's been my daily driver for 6 years! Great machine, but got a bit tired towards the end. When I went for an upgrade, I originally purchased the OMEN 15-ek (Intel i7 and RTX 2060 model), however I got unlucky with a defective unit I had to return (driver issues, frequent BSOD's, QC issues) and couldn't just swap it out at the time due to stock issues. I ended up going back to MSI and got the GE66-10UG and... it's a beast! It kills everything I throw at it and is so much better than my previous MSI! 🤩💻
The same thing happened to me where as I brought the HP Omen 17 and it was horribly defective and due to lack of stock I exchanged it for an MSI GS76 and it has blown every other laptop I've ever had out of the water! I was so reluctant at first because I was unfamiliar with MSI but I'm so glad I made the switch because the MSI is a powerhouse!

HP is doing a good job with it's Omen brand, it's miles ahead from Pavilion, yet it's not a fair comparison, as MSI it's focused a lot on gaming (Notebooks, PC components), where HP it's a brand that embrace the whole market, from business solutions, gaming to basic users.
MSI has never let me down and has been overperforming the 2 HP that I had, but it's what I'm expecting from a brand with this trajectory and price.
Would a more fair comparison be Razer Vs MSI?

Hmm an explosive liability vs an MSI gaming laptop that lasts for years...
last year when i wanted to change my old msi ge62 laptop for a newer model i searched all over the internet and every brand as I'm not loyal to a specific brand because i care for my money and want the best out of it, so lastly i picked msi GL75 because it was basically the same as more expensive series but offered rtx 2070 and 17 inch 144 hz 100%rgb display which is great for most of the days and also it was under 1500$ and at the time that was the best option i saw,but to be honest if i ever want to get a new laptop as i have limited resources i might go for a cheaper one with mid range hardware and better portability. And if i haf the money I'd definitely get the GS series with their incredible battery and small size compared to the hardware

I am both, Use MSI, motherboards and monitors for desktop and have an OMEN 015 laptop with a Omen 27i monitor. Both companies have excellent products. hard to really say one is better than another. Just have to decide which one fits best with your budget, style, liking.

Always been a fan of HP right from Compaq Desktop that I own since 2007. Currently, I own 3 HP Laptops [Probook 4440s (2012),15-ax250tx (2017), 16-b0370tx (2021)]

He hasn't compared the whole msi. Even though msi is a gaming focused brand they have office laptops just like hp. It would have been more for if they added hyperx, pavilion and victus on hp's side bcz they're comparing the entire gaming sector(majority) of msi to just 1 part of hp gaming

As an Omen 15 laptop enjoyer, HP Omen has alot utility system they can offer but what makes me disturbed is the noise from the fan itself it is hella loud as f- (Like a jet engine)
But they were perfectly come in handy when it comes to a gaming performance especially for those who loves FPS genre type of game.
Omen 15 may be the mid range
(AMD Ryzen 7 + RTX 2070 + 144HZ Frame Rate + 512GB Stroage + 16GB Ram)
But don't underestimate this little boy gaming performance
Mine is not as loud as a jet engine maybe something stuck in your fan 😂
@@Bruno-ry3pg No man, ive been taking care of my Omen by cleaning the fan once per two weeks and performing daily system vital routine, and nothing seems to be wrong, its just that true Omen Fan is just that loud as hell when it comes to a heavy games performance.

if u sacrifice portability for the laptop, ur losing out on graphic/processor power for the price. even u get the prebuilt desktop they cut corners on the MB, PS and smaller things. sadly it's super difficult to get a good gpu this year and people are taking advantage of the shortage and jacking up the price. It's a terrible time to enter the PC market in general.
Notebooks are way more efficient than PC's in terms of PowerDraw/Performance

the only problem i have with laptops is that when the warranty ends this so called "PLANNED OBSOLECENSE" and "PERCIVED OBSOLESENCE" can come in play which would really force you to spend for a new one as to PC's it is extremely rare as i have the HP OMEN 15 2018 and it was good when it lasted

MSI is superior in everyway. From Desktop parts to laptops. Love my Delta 15 and my previous MSI back from 2018. Just wish they would have more options when it comes to all AMD laptops. HP isn't built like it used to be.

I don't really care about the victus, but I'd go for pavilion and omen. Either one. Also I'd definitely choose hp over alienware. Cuz huge difference in price and hp has great quality overall, even though they don't have as much products as MSI, but I really do like however that the fact that you can customize the amd option for the 16 inch laptop, all of them.
Agreed, MSI needs more laptops with all AMD components. But love the new Stealth i9 and geforce they got. I chose the MSI Delta, best machine I bought this year!

@@ed_sh that was the old omen series. from 2020 onwards they fix it with new design, big ventilation etc.. and Now omen laptops are one of the coldest running laptop you can buy. Max temperature i reached with my omen 15 was 70°c on max setting for horizon zero dawn (bc it was a poorly optimised game) on summer days.

It depends on what you want. For power, quality and FPS, the MSI gaming range is your best bet. But for affordability, cooling systems and internet speed, you might be better off with a HP Omen. I own a mid-range gaming laptop from MSI, the Thin GF63 with a 13th-gen Intel Core i7 and an RTX 4070 Ti that I retrofitted and it's a beast.

Regarding the laptops. Omen in the HP lineup is the highest, you have alsoe Victus and Pavilion Gameing. You shoudl do OMEN vs GE series to be fair, or whole MSI vs whole HP lineups.
HP also owns HyperX which has a ton of options.

4:40 straight fax bro. I love my msi laptop, and the fact that I could have a computer, mouse, keyboard, monitor, mousepad, and headphones all from the same brand is pretty cool. But do I? Fuck no. The thing I love about the gaming industry is that there is such stiff competition. Yeah sure msi and omen make pretty good peripherals, but there's just better stuff out there. Simple as that. Same prices, better stuff.
The only usefull laptops out there are the msi titan (which isn't even mentioned here), which can have 17inch and enough cooling capacity to use propper desktop chips and the xmg apex, which uses a propper amd 16core desktop chip but just have 15inch and not enough cooling so it needs to run in eco mode... I am waiting since november 2019 for msi titan GT or WT to implement a 16 core amd processor and since june 2020 for xmg to be able to at least figure out how to attach a 17inch screen onto their apex, even if they cannot figure out how to cool the system properly, which should be much easier in a 17 inch chassis.

I'll never use a hp laptop or any hp products in my life. After spending a lot of money of gaming pavilion my friend had his laptop malfunction due to an ic issue. They refused to fix it under warranty and blamed my friend for wrong usage. The hp center was full of rude people. Never getting a hp product ever.

Sorry about talking shit about HP laptops (but most of them are not so great tbh), but I can't deny that the omen and pavilion laptops are good and with some great features like monitoring your CPU and GPU and all the other specs so easily and so simply.
