Very good lesson! I never knew about that third thumb position that helps you get more hook or get the birdie when it's way behind you. Nice!

Thank you for the late backhand technique advice my friend. I tend to forget to switch the bevel and end up hitting out most of the time.

    Great tuition, thank you. 😊
I am curious about your footwear. It sounds like those shoes have hard soles and heels. Common thinking is that softer is better for grip. What can you tell us about your footwear, please?

Good question - not something that i know so much about. I just wrote your suggestion down - and i will make a video on whats important for me and what i look for.
In general - it should not be able to twist - and must have a shine beneath or build in the shoe. Starting near the heel and going 5-10 cm forward to prevent twisting. I would suggest the grip of the shoe need to go up on the sides so you can slide on the side of the shoe and keep a solid grip. I will suggest that you don't stand and walk around in badminton shoes to keep the suspension in the heel intact. Badminton shoes is not made for the heels to touch the ground (especially high tier shoes). I normally use a pair for coaching and other shoes for playing.
I will write it down and create a short video explaining what i mean here :-)
