I’m 62 & ride a 2014 GSX-R 750, best thing to do is do 4 or 5 track days a year & ride sensibly on the streets, alone or with close friends and no big group rides, that way you won’t ride like a jackass on the street, works for me, I’ve lost a couple friends who used public roads as their private racetrack, stay safe out there!
636 rider here. Nice stories. That r6 is a blast and so nimble! I don't ever disrespect any cops in my home turf because they remember and will find you and know where you live.
Yo man, love Your stories keep them coming. I think 600 class makes u want to push it, it revs fast and all the power is high-up + addicting sound, they are no chill. Riding 1000 makes U respect it more, and u have power everywhere so u dont end up revving high so often - acceleration is just too insane to pin it down 24/7.
Just keep posting stories man this is what TH-cam is for There’s enough super high quality professional content we need more candid real people telling stories
Well...coming from a Daytona 675 punched out to a 711 it's a hard call. I'm around 380 lbs. @ 140 hp. I stepped down from a twin liter bike. It's like the girl that goes almost all the way. But not ALL the way. Truth of it is once you're at these levels with bikes that are on these power to weight ratios you have two choices. Outlaw or the track. If you want to be an outlaw, you will most likely wind up dead. I think once you're at the level you're pushing it like this you need to evaluate what you want to be doing on the bike and what your about. Just never forget, you don't have shit to prove to anybody.
Mr Capone, subbed to your channel a few months ago. Love the content! It’s been a dream to finally get on my first SS. The GSXR600 was still my dream bike as a teenager. Fast forward a few decades later, it’s here. After two months of riding, I definitely respect the power of the bike. Compared to my car, it’s definitely a lot different. Had my fun with the car on track. I feel like as time went forward, I learned to respect the car as it went through stages and now with this bike.
if your point is that the experience, skill and talent has nothing to do with the type of bike one rides, you are absolutely correct. 😀 But i do not think you can grow out of a 600 that depends more on your track/roads and personal preference. the best rider i have shared the tack with in the last 20years rides an old zx4 nowadays.
i will take a 636 over a 1000 anytime . in twisties riding .... in street // drag racing free way chit ..to 160 - 180++ mph a 1000 is it /over 200 mph turbo nitrous we go BUSA ZX14 hammer..
Cool story bro, but how did the engine displacement have anything to do with dust flying? How does a 600cc bike throw more dust in the air compared to a 1000cc? Doesnt a larger bike have more drag and so forth?
@@reesecapone1942 your video title is a generalizin guys on 600s. I used to ride a R1, Guzzi V7, Busa and now a CBR650. I just categorize that particular dude to be a nuthead and having northing to do the displacement of the bike. I think 1000cc sports bikes are useless for the road. Barely ever get to use the gears. I pait for the rev meter. I wanna use all of it without ending up in jail.
In what universe is a 600 not enough bike? I guess in the US where it's all about drag racing freeways but in the twisties, 600 can be quicker. This guy just full of BS
@@specialprojekts501 Except I remember when the 600 support race was turning 8n quicker lap times on the shorter, curvier circuits. Seems not much has changed: Recently Karl Lowery won the Willow Springs Formula 1 open class race twice on a 600 (R6) against a full field of 1000 superbikes.
Where this guy lives it’s mostly highways and straights. It’s pretty flat. In Pennsylvania where I live it’s twistie and hilly so 600s are perfect. I have a couple 600s and an R1 600 is way funner.
Love my 600cc, got the Yoshimura exhaust and sprocket conversion. Dudes on 1000c think my bike is a litre but its just 08 CBR RR

That’s a important point about respecting your bike thanks for the sub and be safe out there

Triumph Trident 660 rider here from the Detroit Suburbs, just found your channel. Nice one sir.
I ride Litre bike in the city, i usually ignore riders that pull up on me cause i dont plan on breaking the law or running from 5-0

British Superbike would be one of those spots in the universe
