I agree with Kawasaki. MotoGP is really nothing more than advertising for the Brands. When advertising becomes a burden then stop and use that money elsewhere. Focus on building Street Bikes and Off-Road. Let the testers/reviewers decide which bikes are best for what money.

Advertising what? MotoGP showcases neck on neck competition on which manufacturer is superior in terms of innovation, technically advanced et al besides racing. The innovations that come about with for example aero, on the grid ultimately trickle down to street and offroad bikes. Same witFormulala 1 like how steering mount controls cameintoo existence.

to be clear , in 2019 the V4r came out w a 16,500 limit..which is stock , that motor w new cams will support 18k of usable power, then 1/2 way through 2019 they limited it and by the end of the season it was limited to 15,700(off the top of my head). That motor wasnt designed to work at 1000+ rpm less. in the event they let Ducati spin 1000 more rpm than stock then the engine would have been operating where it was intended....prob would have been 25kph faster down the straight at Phillip Island ..it was 15-17kph faster than then next bikes in 2019. Even now they are at 16,100 which is 400 less than stock. The stock ZX10r engine is a 14,200 and 14,700 for the RR, the current WSBK ceiling for the Kawi is 15,100rpm....give the DUC the same increase over stock and the trap speeds will be silly vs others

Sbk topspeed record Tom Sykes 339 kmph on a very old zx10. If it was allowed to race without restrictions JR would still be wc. Dorna/ fim/ Ducati just killed them. Why develop a new bike if the old one is still restricted. Jap manufacturers are going to leave racing and it is a shame. If Audi/ Volkswagen stop to pay Ducatis bills then sbk and mgp is dead.

The only ones that will be left in the near future will be the Panigale V4, RSV4 and the S1K. A very timely video, bearing in mind that this is also the last year of a factory Kawasaki in World Superbikes. While the MotoGP bike continued briefly under the Hayate banner, the WSBK machine will carry the Bimota badge next year. So parallels can definitely be drawn between the two series, I think.

When the Ducati Cup moved from production to prototype racing over 3 decades, it was right for kawasaki to jump ship and exert their dominance. Hopper moving to team green and getting massively injured at Assen, after his best season with Suzuki, didn't give much hopes for the programme. Nobody could have foretold the global recession in 08/09, but to Melandri's credit on the Hayate, he showed the potential of the bike. But it's like pissing in the wind when you have no budget or development.
It's not that Forward Racing left MotoGP at the end of the season. CRT came into effect and they were faffing about with roided superbike engines in prototype chassis. They had Colin Edwards for a while

This channel tackled one of the most intriguing aspect of motorcycle history and yet the presenter placed such a formulaic-by the number generic presentation that makes it so boring to watch.
It's actually sad how so many stories was not given the proper care it needed to be to make it entertaining, it's not even about the voice nor the topic itself but rather the lack of personality and care of subject matter, that is more of the present issue.
Take this video for instance, the missedit of the first line in the script which was repeated in few minutes later while overlapping it with the continuation of the script create a sense of amateurish with no further quality control of the material at hand. That wrong use of music placement, usually with that tract we can actually imagine it to be used to place emphasis on excitement. But putting it on repeat while the answer is beinggiven by the brand is inappropriate and out of place.

@@elcookiemonsteru Some truth to that in WSBK. Very little truth to it in MotoGP or F1. Very little commonality with production technology. Advertising is the lifeblood of racing and Dorma is limiting the exposure. Obviously they’re in it to make money, but obviously they need the manufacturers competing or there won’t be any interest in it at all.

Which we can see with Ducati's V4 engine and fancy electronics, or Yamaha's crossplane i4.
Yeah, Kawi was just making excuses to save face. They couldn't compete, so they left.
