One thing I would like to add is Rickie's kindness to his fans. I was working the Shriner's Open in Las Vegas and watched him sign autographs for much longer than most players. He has a genuine quality that shows. This element I would admire in any celebrity. For Rickie it is a natural gift. I hope he has a great 2022.
Rickie's has shown signs of life in 2023. He is 34 now and seemingly looking like Sergio in terms of majors. Hopefully he gets one before his career ends. His game, looks and ethnicity were all there to propel him to world superstar but his play in recent years has been off.

It is home to Robert Allenby after whom the event is named and the organization and the event is closely allied with the late Jarrod Lyle who died from cancer some years ago. No no NO! RICKIE IS NOT a self taught golfer! His first coach and mentor was a wonderful man named Barry McDonnell. I used to work at the Murrieta Valley Golf Range and witnessed it all first hand. To say sat Rickie is self taught is untrue and disrespectful to Barry. Barry has since passed but by no means did Rickie reach his level of success on his own. Barry "Big B" was a crucial part of Rickies development as a player. Do better research next time.
