    I contend that if this ball is live....it shouldn't be live any more. Forward progress is stopped. I think we would support a flagrant and a possible ejection.

      Ball isn't dead until the whistle blows, as a player you never assume the play is over... The whistle is blown and you know when to stop. You are encouraged to go until the whistle by every coach, referee, player, and fan. He pushed him in the ribs, he didn't lead with helmet or shoulder to hurt... He was just trying to make a play.
