- Well this Gen-X old school weeb gamer, is kinda fed up with XDefiant. There are too many problems that are nearly impossible to fix, or maybe they just don't want to.

Hit registration and dsync has caused me to rage on top of the increased cheaters. The aim botting, taking massive damage and not dying, wall hacks is insane. They just need to make a console only pubs and ranked. All games should seperate PC and Console plain and simple.
Hit reg and de sync haven’t been problems in weeks, I’ve played since the closed alphas in 2021 and to this day have only encountered one blatant cheater.
You’re just not as good as you think you are and are trying to cope. Don’t take it to hard, a lot of gamers are learning they’re kinda trash at shooters without sbmm

My KD is over 2 and I play obj, but broken is broken. Next time u make a statement make sure u got some damn facts first instead of the brain dead get good comment.
They can't/won't fix the hit reg, the net code, getting shot around the corner, taking 0 damage and getting instamelted,, the list goes on.
They’ve already released patches addressing hit reg and net code. It’s not perfect yet but it is much better than launch. Check yourself.
@@nickbreaux2635 no it isn't, I am monitoring my network connection to the XD servers, its terrible, 85-325ms latency on a fiber connection. I have had matches in south Africa dude, this is why the netcode sucks, its geographical locations being thousands of miles away... I wanna love this game, just not possible =(

For a dead game I sure do find lobbies in about two seconds and my ping sits around 15-30 every game.
Same here my ping isn't higher than 20. The only issue I have isn't the hit registration and dsync

where are you reading your ping from? if it's from in the game, yer being lied to. Pull up the resource monitor or a network monitoring app like PingPlotter Pro on yer PC and you will see actual ping values, they range from 85-325ms, but the in-game shows 28 or 32, it's called lying. This is why the hit reg is terrible, and in waves of badness. Every match I jumped into yesterday was half way through, and with like 2 to 4 players on my team, including me. The past 10 days has me concerned. I hope they can resolve this games issues, and it can thrive.

I would not be surprised if XDefiant used the division heartland engine. Because I heard heartland was canceled for XDefiant
I played both of those during the closed tests. They were made by completely different team.
It was using the snowdrop engine but that’s not a heartland thing. Ubisoft has been using snowdrop for a while now.
I dont play xdefinant, but based on your streams, it definitly seems like there are a few issues with the game lol

@@COD_is_a_sin Yeah, dying BEFORE the enemy came hopping around the corner happened to me quite frequently when I was playing xDefiant on week 1. I've never seen this in any other game in my 20 years of online gaming. But for me, a game like this is just a waste of time. I'm not willing to adapt to a horrible technical foundation, I'd rather just play a good game and hone my skills there. Especially, when the gameplay is so generic and forgettable. From my point of view, there isn't a single reason to play this game right now.
All I care about is whether the bullets work or not. And they still don't for many of us. Seems to be dependent on where you're located in the world.

They use google cloud services for the servers, im not sure how google goes about provisioning these servers

Let's not forget about how broken the snipers are in this game, Sad how people just sit on a corner hard-scoping one shots to the leg. Like wtf is that, lol talk about broken. This game is surely that. It can be fun and if they fix the issue that you brough up and the snipers. The game might have a chance. Besides that it will be left behind fast if none of these major issue are fixed.
I love sniping, but I get weird hitboxes. One game they're dead on, other games I'll swear I hit...but nothing. Other games I'll miss....but somehow still get a headshot. Think the broken snipers might fix themselves a little bit once they get the desync / servers fixed.

The lack of SBBM is going to kill this game because regardless of how anyone feels no player base is going to survive with only hardcore players and the casual players, new players, older slower players aren’t going to stick around to get dunked on by sweat Lords

Hi, i would like to share my perspective as a competitive player on XDefiant. I have 200 hours played as a level 131.
I am currently rank gold 5 and the last time i checked i was ranked 205 globally. Yesterday i deranked my very first game on because i played against a blatant cheater who's every kill was a headshot.
Now im usually not one to assume that just because someone is better than me that they are cheating. I think Its a very toxic habit and excuse, but at the level i play at it makes me wonder how well some people hide the fact that they cheat.
I'm now stepping away from Xdefiant because i cant trust that everyone i play with or against is honorable or has integrity.
xdefiant is pretty fucking ass but giving up on a game in 2024 because you dont know if anyones "honorable" is the dumbest shit in the world bc every single game is crossplay atp & even if its not people have found ways to run scripts on console, you might as well stick to story games or just give up in general if thats your main concern lmao

Been playing in non stop since its release. Yeah tell a modern COD that doesn’t have issues though. Xd got issues but it’s still functional and enjoyable. I mean they respond to the community openly.

Where have you been under a rock? It’s number 44 on Xbox most played list 51 on ps5. Can’t sustain but 2k on twitch yeah the game is dead😂😂😂. Not to mention it’s a FREE TO PLAY GAME!!!
I've uninstalled the game this weekend. Queuing times are getting longer and the servers are bad. Dropping into games halfway through a match got old really quick. Like the server can't find a game so you just get dropped in to any available games. Writing is on the wall for Xdefiant, unfortunately. Would love for it to be a massive success.

My ping usually runs about 30 to 45 depending and I have a good experience with it
My issue is, on release, I got shot through impenetrable walls. They partially fixed it. Cool. But now, with that fix, I have a more serious issue. Now I shoot people and it doesnt even register. I let it slide if its a fast player, good movement, etc. Another is a crouch walking bot, that has noa wareness, I flank, shoot first, empty the clip and get at best 2 bullets register out of 30. No sense.
And yeah, It shows me getting 2-3 shot vs I have to hit about 10. Unless I get headshots, 3-5.
Spot cheaters would be much easier eith killcams

A handful of maps,shitty netcode, basic servers, uninteresting ranked mode, hackers all over the place, snipers… the list goes on and on…
Sorry but hit detections has never been addressed or fixed so I got back to other shooters and I’m actually confident when I go into a gun fight not in xdefiant and I’m not hearing it’s a skill issue so between TTK BEING WAAAY TOO DAMN LONG BAD HIT DETECTION MAKES IT WORST sorry but I’m not interested and I was pulling for the game succeed played all the betas supported the preaseason battle pass and all the game needs work and it needs to run on a new engine as well 🤨
Game is 100% not dying... My lobbies are always packed, my YT is filled with videos and streams just the same as it was on launch. Face it, the game is here to stay as it filled a void that COD left wide open. The only people I generally see complaining are people who had been stuck in an SBMM bubble who thought they where good and came to Xdefiant only to realize they are average at best. I'm already hearing people refer to cod players as the bads.
I understand the problems in this video. I feel that because theyre using a diff engine its going to take time to get it to the standard we all expect from a game. I think that this strategy doesnt work in this day in age. You need to be really good from the release, even being okay doesnt cut it anymore. Granted i really enjoy the game. Yeah i agree with the problems but i do think the game could be great. They just need to fix the problems asap as taking their time with it WILL kill the game for sure.
But i like to think of call of duty being the standard and they had the same problems when they staryed the call of duty series. They had an engine they wanted to use and worked on that and after so many iterations of the game being released, their engine has been fine tuned over years and years to where it is now, as i said before i feel this cant be done nowadays because you need to come out the swinging to keep a player base. I half agree with echelon, maybe similar to widowmaker wall hacks would be good but i dont mind it as much as you get told when youre in their intel range, i usually play an angle that they have to take to get me and then it makes it a bit more favourable but the abilities such as cleaners i feel is worse, you have a press a button for a kill essentially with burning the floor.
I do disagree with the audio feel its fine for me.
I game this reminds me off maybe copying is a game called LawBreakers had great potential but that came out with little advertising etc and died after a month or two. This could do the same if the problems arent fixed which they are plenty of. Some i disagree with and think its down to just playing around it as you would in games like overwatch. But there is problems that do need fixing.

Bad thing about videos like this is that Ubisoft’s quarterly report came out and only good things were reported about Xdefiant. Gotta gauge atleast the publisher before you release a vid like this man😅
Saw and read the report. It's mostly corporate jargon and double-speak. The game was VERY successful on launch beating their own goals by a longshot. Doesn't mean they will maintain that. I really want it to succeed, don't get me wrong, but gotta be real.
Remember when R6 came out, It was a Shit Show...but, it blew up and still a Major ESports Title 10 years later. Just know Ubisoft is going to grow and Baby this game just as they did with R6, and i am very impressed with the detail and constant updates and content. This video has so much Salt lol.

Game is definitely dying. Dropping in Xbox most played and PlayStation most played lists. Dropping in twitch streaming and viewing. Netcode is terrible and frustrating.
@@TheWeebLounge do some proper research about the infrastructure xdefiant authors are using, they even published the information on server locations, there is a map available on Reddit. They clearly are relying on a cloud infrastructure of some kind.
Also working on an in-house engine will be always more expensive than taking off-the-shelf solution so the money argument is clearly invalid here, they probably did that because they want to continue engine's development and it was a good opportunity to give it a go.
Xdefiant is struggling to keep attention and this is current issue, they need to do something about it but as far as technical issues go, try to remember what steamy pile of shit was recent MW II when it came out. UI was buggy as hell, party system wasn't working 9/10 times and lag spikes were there all the time and yet no one was yelling that cod is dying because technical issues in games that just came out are the norm nowadays and no one is giving a crap about it.
