This is a great place. In the past few decades, we've grown away from maintaining a sense of community, where everyone helps and supports everyone else, and it's been to our detriment. I hope more places like The Bird's Nest come into being. We need them.
A lot of people are going by the Ayn Rand way of life. Take care of yourself first. (She believed that individuals should "exist for their own sake" and not sacrifice themselves to others or others to themselves) But sadly this does not work well.
Absolutely perfect! We need more people thinking like this! So many women that stayed home to raise kids and find themselves alone and some less than $1,000 o month NEED a safe place to grow old with other people that understand. Great job! Great video!

Robyn, you have created a real-life "Golden Girls" supportive community. It takes hard work and dedication, not to mention money to create a safe haven. Times are tough and life can be hard on all of us. I love what you have created and the plans you have to improve it all even more. If I lived there I'd be gardening and landscaping 24/7. You have the perfect place to create different gardens. Get some shade trees, flowering trees, scented trees, flowers and bushes. Design a day or night-scented blooming garden (or a Moon Garden) to escape the Texas heat - maybe around or on the way to your firepit area to start. Build a waterfall or set up a birdbath or two, and surround it with herbs for cooking, tea and for your health. I saw another video with your tenant who is into permaculture. Organic food but only whatever you actually like to eat, fruits, nuts, veggies and flowers everywhere. Every paradise requires critters, splashing water, pretty flowers, and (edible) greenery. Good luck to you and all the ladies (and the men that might join) may you thrive and prosper - it looks like you are already living your best life. Thx for the tour, I hope the people who need you most will find you through this video. More power to you!
Yes , it looks a great community , but needs more landscaping for a better outlook . Safety is so important for a woman . I hope you get more women with kids to live there .

This is such a such a great community. The owner has made it including people, affordable and safe. She makes money for retirement without price goughing if only all property owners were like her. Thinking of all the mobile home parks.
OMGOSH!!! This is so cool. I live in a 55+ apartment complex. When I first moved in rent was affordable. The next year they offered it to me at the same price. Lease was coming up and they went up 133.00, but my SS I’d go up to match it. I love the fact that it is a small community and rent is reasonable. I am saving this for the future.

What a lovely community to call home. This is well done. I've heard of bigger, manufactured double-wide homes with real streets and driveways, but the rent and mortgages are too high and could price people out any any time. Affordability this way, for any single person to start up herself, offers more than the basic home, but a special community well thought out.
This absolutely is a wonderful community you have . I wish I was near a tiny house community. Being 53yrs old out of the workplace due my Multiple Sclerosis worsening. Thank you sharing you beautiful tiny community and making life easier for people on a fixed income. Keep up the Amazing work.

Nicely done. This is my retirement goal. I've been talking to single women I know of retirement age and many are interested in this. The issue is where to live. I currently in Missouri where the weather goes from one extreme to the other DAILY. I, personally, want to be somewhere moderate year-round. I'm getting too old to shovel snow and my arthritis is over the extreme cold.
This is what most Middle aged women want now... a communal living situation with personal space, safety and good friends! Would be ideal to have a little storage shed on each site. We need these in every state!
I am sometimes guilty of skipping thru but not this one . I stopped what i was doing and watched the whole time . I throughly enjoyed , the people , tiny homes and message .

Yes being single and feeling safe I am so thankful for The Bird’s Nest
As a Social Worker I am encouraged to see this thoughtful community resource. I have worked with beautiful senior women and men that struggle to live with dignity. Praise God that you answered a need.
Thank you❤
as a 73 yr old guy i'm love seeing your community and i especially love your ' por roe' t shirt
So sad, supporting the death of children.

I am so impressed by this Lady who set up this Tiny Home Village. What a great idea and a great thing to do for other Women, Not to many people around would take a lesser rent because they don’t need more money. Thank you for sharing your life and principles with us.
Thank you❤
I love the community and comradary, the animals too.
Supportive community is the future of our society! I believe this 10000%. ❤❤❤❤
This is so needed all over. This concept is awesome. Just an amazing way for women to help each other. Love it!!!
The world needs more women like Robyn!
This is such a such a great community. The owner has made it including people, affordable and safe. She makes money for retirement without price goughing if only all property owners were like her. Thinking of all the mobile home parks.
We love our landlady!!❤
💕
I’m a retired teacher. It took 18 years to pass a 4% cost of living adjustment. (My COLA was 1%. 🫤) I couldn’t make it if it wasn’t for The Bird’s Nest.
I like it because it in Texas. That’s where I want to stay. Moved for about 2 years to New Mexico when I divorced. Came back to Texas in 2013. Not the same here where I’m at. I want to stay in Texas. But not able to move just yet. My parents are 2.5 miles away and my daughter is still here. Don’t want to leave them. Some day I’ll be there.

I love people like this.
What a lovely community to call home. This is well done. I've heard of bigger, manufactured double-wide homes with real streets and driveways, but the rent and mortgages are too high and could price people out any any time. Affordability this way, for any single person to start up herself, offers more than the basic home, but a special community well thought out.
The people here are our best amenity!
@@cherylhuff1914I agree!!
This absolutely is a wonderful community you have . I wish I was near a tiny house community. Being 53yrs old out of the workplace due my Multiple Sclerosis worsening. Thank you sharing you beautiful tiny community and making life easier for people on a fixed income. Keep up the Amazing work.
Ty
Oh my goodness, no price gouging, and no drama - sounds like a dream to me. Bless you Robyn for thinking of others and spreading gratitude! If I manage to sell my house up here in the Northeast you can be sure I will reach out to you 💖
Thank you! Hope you make it here❤
What a lovely place so peaceful! I love the animals and that turkey is so majestic!
Very inspiring on what real community and peace is!
You built a beautiful community and loved all the Tiny Homes ♥️
You are doing a good service for your community. 🙏🏽
This place is my cup of tea. I would fit right in. I am 64 with a 5 year old well behave and friendly Labrador. I can garden, work with tools, great at crafting, interior designing & decorating and my husband is always traveling very rarely home but when he is he’s super helpful building stuff. I wish I can live here. 🥰
What a wonderful idea.
What a wonder place. I wish you the best.
Just beautiful! This is the needy future to deal with the tsunami of coming women who choosed not to have children/family, but wanted to have a lifestyle without a family!
I would love to be able to do this here in Australia. tiny living is an amazing this and when you have the right people together you can do so so much. and to be in a female community where everyone helps one another is amazing.

I'm in Canada, and would love to see a community like this in my area.
Robyn’s vision makes this community what it is.
God bless your soul ..we need more people like you..
Thank you❤
Great video! Very inspiring! I would LOVE to see little communities like this pop up everywhere! And be a little regulated so you know who lives there and rent is realistic. Love that this is gated too!
So happy to share, and we agree! We need many more tiny home communities around the country and in others too ☺️
We were talking today about how much we love our gate! It feels like our own little world in here. 😊
@@cherylhuff1914 you are doing the right thing with your community. All the tiny houses there are gorgeous!
The Bird’s Nest is all Robyn’s hard work and persistence.
I am living in the wrong country, Robyn What an epic tiny house community love that they will fasten down your tiny , The more I watch these the more I want a tiny home , Not that i live in a huge house but bills are costly .The incredibox Id need more windows and lighter shade on walls. I agree what she said about the bed against the back wall, It would be less cramped. Great price to rent a space . Community centre oh ya very nice. excellent place to live, Watching from Ontario Canada .
I had to wait years before I was able to go tiny. I did a lot of watching and planning while I waited and that paid off in the end.
This is awesome, what a sweet lady for creating this
We’ve benefited from Robyn’s vision!
I enjoyed this tiny home living and made think about sharing and make friends
Incredible community!
Kind words❤
This is amazing. I’m 36 and would love to live here with this great group of women!
Come visit!
What a wonderful community! Liz
Thank you❤
I absolutely love this idea and the lady that owns it is a saving grace to these women. I’ve always wanted to set something like this up for battered women to help them feel secure and at peace
Bless you!! I'm always encouraged when I see a vision I've held so long come to fruit. Blessing you from California in appreciation for your Granny Village🎉
Robyn’s blood, sweat, and tears built this community but she proves that it can be done!
@@cherylhuff1914 please ask Christian and Alexis to do a video on how she got it all set up, what it took, what were the setbacks, what have beent he joys. how was the planning committee ...how was the networking accomplished ...how the community is promoted to attract folks ....i think a video like that would be INSPIRING ....and could potentially prompt others to bravely follow in her footsteps...which would be awesome for them...but also awesome for the folks that could benefit as well... please do put that foreward as Chritian and Alexis said they would like to film more footage there again in the future. also loved that they featured the stories and lived experiences of more than one resident ...and I love the turkey ...bet you didnt picture that turkey when you imagined your retirement : ) xo from Vancouver BC ...from Leslie and Hamza

Her story is so beautiful! I appreciate her mission.
Love this.
What a wonderful community! You should all be so proud 😊
Ty. I try to be❤
Thank you Robyn and Tiny House Expedition for being so inspiring. ❤
🥰 so happy to share!
This is what most Middle aged women want now... a communal living situation with personal space, safety and good friends! Would be ideal to have a little storage shed on each site. We need these in every state!
Totally agree❤
Thinking about creating a tiny home community for my retirement too. We need more of these.
I think this is wonderful, bless you all!
I am sometimes guilty of skipping thru but not this one . I stopped what i was doing and watched the whole time . I throughly enjoyed , the people , tiny homes and message .
Thank you❤
I love what you are doing for women. Thank you for helping those who need a place like that.😊
Thank you for the shout out❤
LOVE this gal and her vision! Wish they weren’t in Texas that has 120 deg summers!! But bless her and her community!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Outdoor kitchen sounds wonderful!
Beautiful soul who started this community 🤸🤸🤸🤸
Ty❤
I’m so impressed with this community! I’m recently widowed after 45 years and I would love to use my property like this to empower women who through no fault of their own are at reduced housing options. TYnfor showcasing these tiny house dwellers.
You’re most welcome, and hope you do! 💕
Love the atmosphere of this community and listening to all the ladies stories.
Such a neat, beautiful community!
Ty❤
I love how you are empowering woman. Good for you! ❤
Great community! Wow, that'd be so nice.
This place is literally somewhere I have dreamed of all my life. A piece of property filled with an amazing community of small living people. Everyone looks so friendly and happy. This is a beautiful haven. I hope you guy continue to grow and be happy. Maybe one day I can check it out too. I live a hour and half from you guy.
This is the kind of environment I dream about and would love to be a part of!
"Always been afraid of tornadoes. . ." Me too. So glad you put in the storm shelter. Great way to look out for your community.
What a wonderful woman who is donating her land etc. I wish this could be promoted so more people would do this.
What a great project. The idea of a community where members support each other is the best.
I lived in a neighborhood for 20 years and didn’t even know my neighbors’ names. I’m in a real community here.
Unity in motion in Divine Love and compassion towards one another beautiful Blessings to you
I love this, can make a family with other people, its sage snd secure and just beautiful. I love shes also trying to keep the price as fair a possible. If i lived in america would 100% move there maybe 1 day ❤
To offer rentable ones too is amazing
Is there a max size of tiny that can go on there ?
I love the owner of this community and her philosophy. Would love to see her incred i box.
