Damn I love that darkness of the Ibanez K720th. Had my eye on it few years now. Bloody expensive. I have a Ibanez RG8527vv j custom 7 that is absolutely amazing. But that 720th is on another level
Great video! Any idea when you'll be uploading the video on Edge Zero II, Edge Zero and ZR bridges? I'm eagerly awaiting it. :) Keep up the good work, brother.
I had a chance at an original universe swirl around the time life is peachy came out but it was gone by the time I got to the store. The store was going out of business and marked everything down my uncle told me that it had been marked down to 500 dollars and talked my grandmother into giving me the money and he and I would go get it for my Christmas present that year it was gone but I did wind up with my RG550 LTD instead and it’s the one I’ll never sell or trade it’s my numero uno , but there was a time you could get Ibanez Universe guitars cheap post Vai releasing it to pre/early Korn years
This would probably take forever and be a ton of work, but an Ibanez neck guide would be awesome. They have the measurements online but that only tells you so much. It's kinda of the opposite of their model names, they're too creative with the neck names.
Definitely! As non production models, they're extremely rate, quite often 1/1. They don't often leek into the market, but when they do collectors jump at them.
i can only assume the maple and mahogany are good for a 7 string. I have a rg7620, it's all basswood, and you definitely need to work the EQ to get rid of the "mud"
I never had problems with it. With every trem guitar you need to get it to the point that string tension and spring tension is in balance. Without it, it will loose tuning all the time. Check if the knife edge of the bridge is sharp, that also impact tuning stability.
The U-bar was an awesome feature. Too bad it didn't get more popular.
I like to play with it, but I'm not really sure if it's that useful. I have nearly zero stage experience though :)
@@Ibbyhead Honestly, I don't remember Head and Munky really using the U-Bar that much in fact I don't recall them really ever using it.
That’s crazy that Korn was soo big, that Ibanez said oky when they asked for a custom tremolo bridge and bar design lol.
Yeah, they were the highest tier artist. I feel Polyphia is in similar position right now.
That flame maple binding throughout is stunning as well!!
Yeah, really cool to see those grains.
nice review. thanks !
Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks for your hard work, man.
Thanks! I appreciate you taking time to comment!
Just received an 97 Ibanez RG7620.I feel lucky to have a piece of the Ibanez seven string history
Lovely piece of gear! I'd love to have one at some point too. Too many cool guitars to hunt :)
Get well soon brother
Thanks, appreciate it!
great channel, sir
Thank you!

Yeah, I initially thought it's black, but this is so much better colour.
Incredibly informative, man. Great channel!
Thank you!

Cool story, thanks for sharing. The deals you can find when guitar stores liquidate can be really good, but it's always sad to see stores go.

That's really cool idea. There's lot of necks, but could stab at the most commons at least.
I believe head designed the ubar years ago
You're totally right!. This is just 20 years anniversary reissue of this guitar with this feature.
The K720 is second in the two most beautiful sexiest signature guitars ever created that’s the ESP Stef B8 & the K720th. Eye candy at its best!!!
That ESP is so cool, just checked it out!
Most sought after is the Lacs guitars

To be honest it needs some EQ here too with those pickups.
From what I can see, it puts your hand in the perfect spot for really cool chunky palm muting if you put your hand up against it.
Yeah, it doesn't get in the way of that.
Any idea how you can keep this guitar in tune? What's the trick?
I never had problems with it. With every trem guitar you need to get it to the point that string tension and spring tension is in balance. Without it, it will loose tuning all the time. Check if the knife edge of the bridge is sharp, that also impact tuning stability.
Nice guitar!! I am the owner of original green dot universe!!
Nice score, congrats!
