When something dies too far above ground the bag hovers in the air. You can see the bag in the sky at 17:28 when all your dimorphs are coming to you. Also you should name the dimorph army Dominion

Diomorph armies are my favorite thing to do, i like having flyers speed leveling allowed and boost their speed and mele and just have them on hand, i place apassice dino on my roof and have them following so they can seek and destroy icky birds or whatever else decides to pay a visit XD

I don't generally like to call people out, but this is copy of my idea and comment(you can probably find it farther down). This comment was posted ~30 minutes after I posted mine(yes, I check how well my comments do, and don't lie, you do too). It is formatted the exact same way as mine, with the same idea, although a few words were swapped out.
In fact, if you look at the channel itself, there are no videos, and a video that basically admits that this channel was bought and reused to post comments(this being the first comment).
Am I going to do anything about this? No. I just don't see the point of arguing about a comment. However, I think that everyone should know that just because a channel is verified, does not mean they came up with the idea themselves.

Syn, press "END" on your keyboard. It will get rid of name tags at a distance, you have to be close to them to see the tags! (basically within distance to mount, depends on the creature)
I use this as soon as I log in, every time. My base has enough dinos hanging around that using it is a must! And you can turn it on to see all the names if you need to find one at a distance- or in my case, count to make sure everyone made it into the TEK cave!

aka "sky piranhas" one of the first creatures i tamed in ark. the damage on these guys is absurd and "if" you can get the swarm in they'll chew rex's to pieces in a moment. Having the swarm follow another tame by ordering follow while mounted makes them follow that creature and then have that creature follow you.

You should make a second swatm and set it free in aggressive with the radar on all of them and see how they spread out all over the map and terrorize everything
Legion, The Flock or Hitchcock's Revenge would be a good name for your army of Dimorphs.
First of all: Absolutely LOVED your subnautica video and really hope you do the same sort of thing on subnautica below zero! Secondly: I think a cool name for the dimorph army is the cloud of desolation :)
You should call the army “The Flock” because it looks like the Desert Titans flock

The dimorphodon is my current project. Doing HP and DMG at the same time, minimum 200 females spread over 10 groups.
They are super nice to breed. Quick growup. Egg breed. Good looking. Nice.

Omg this was amazing, thanks Syntac! Dimorphs are my fave shoulder pet (at least until Sinos came out). They can hit hard from your shoulder, even when you are knocked out or stunned! Can kill microraptors, troodons, purlovias, kapro etc… from your shoulder. But in case you didn’t know, you can level their speed! Get them up to 200 or 250 speed and they will be plenty fast!
This cluster better still be a thing in October, I really wanna see crazy dimorphs fight the dodo Rex and wyvern
moments like this is what makes ark special, and I cannot wait to have my own ark adventures soon

The Greek dragon 'Ladon' was a dragon with 100 heads, so I think it fits pretty well.
I was more in awe of the flying morelatops at 15:26 on the left side rather than the battle.
Don't know how well it'd go but I'm curious how well the Dimorphs could handle that Savage Acro boss.
I have the feeling if the Dimorphs destroyed it.. (It could be possible) Garuga would immediately just make it so they do like 2 damage and take 50% more damage-
Honestly it would be really difficult, as you would have to keep that flock alive until the acro does a dangerous attack, then deploy the swarm
In theory, I think if syntac made dimorphs that were front loaded into melee on top of the mutation stacks, he could shred it by hundreds of thousands of health in a few seconds, though the dimorphs will die since he would be likely wouldn't be able to get them out before the acro attacks
@@th3gr1zzlyk1ng8 True, plus the Sav's anti-air attack. Perhaps if he made a bunch of waves then it could definitely be possible, and he could also slap a Yuty in there to buff them, but he would have to go all out into health in it

though i did notice that when i fought the savage Acro, that it will prioritize a player ridden tame (a Rock drake in my case) over smaller tames (in this case my deinons), assuming that wasn't a fluke occurance, Syn could just kite with his shadowmane until the acro does it's dangerous attack, then send the dimorphs in during the taunt.
@@th3gr1zzlyk1ng8 I would say Mystique would be better than Dagger or Cloak (His Shadowmanes), because the Sav does extra damage to them, but otherwise your idea is great!
When you pulled them out of the breeding hut I was cackling madly, so my husband came over to peer over my shoulder and see what I was laughing at. his response to the giant mass of wings? "huh.... biblically accurate angel" XDDDDD

love this, in my private server we had a dimorph army on aggressive locked inside a double dino leash as base protection inside the redwoods on the island. Never had an issue with any unwanted creatures after we set that up.

For starters you need to call them The Flock, and I have done something like this in a cluster. We made a dummy base and filled them with Dimorphs was ridiculously effective

My favorite thing about a Dimo swarm is that the dino dies and gets eaten immediatly after, its like a locust swarm or those critters from the animated doctor strange movie, just down to the bone in seconds.
I think "Horde of The Hungry" would be a nice name :]

When I was a kid, I read a book by Madeleine L’Engle called “A Swiftly Tilting Planet”, and in that book, there was a creature who looked a lot like your ball of dimorphs.

You laugh at what you did but what you did was live the dream that I chased for 2 years on a much smaller, less efficient scale. Dimos have always been my jam and it's a bitter comfort to see them achieve what I couldn't do before our server was lost.
Murder Swarm is a perfect name for the army, it's also the name of an OST for a Terraria Mod for a boss that was just a bunch of flying creatures

Just wanted to say my friends finally took my advice and got ark and we have been loving it and we rewatched all of the original cluster videos together and had a blast!
I'm honestly convinced that Dimorphs are just sky pirahnas.

They're "The Flock". They will flock you up. And I'm really not suprised at all. Had a tribemate who kept taming those, and would hunt rex's and bronto's with a small group.
It's an 8bit integer, that's why it rolls over after 256 levels (0 to 255). That's how you learn something kids.
I think there is only one fitting name for this homogenous colony of aggregate dimorphodons...THE BIRDS!!!!

You just gave it a name right there, "The Cloud of Death". Dimorph is a very good tame early game in my opinion. I played on mobile and they seriously help deal with every creature I encounter, whether it's a raptor or a Rex, I haven't tried them on Giga cause honestly I wanna tame that thing and they're not easy to find, but with a big enough swarm, they can shred through anything. You should turn off their item collection cause it will be a nightmare to sort through 100 of them.
They are the very definition of "If you can't kill them with strength, kill them with numbers. If you still can't kill them with numbers, then you don't have enough numbers."

when u went to fight the brood and u where talking i loved it when u threw 1 dimorph out and then like 20 more poped up i loved it!
been doing this since Scorched Earth came out. 50 Dimorphs and 2 other dinos = a Living, leveling eating machine that's fully automatic.
Get a small rider like a pachy or moschops (on Passive) and whistle them to all follow at long range with the dimorphs on neutral
Place Dillo's or Para's around in turret mode, hitched or penned in place to aggressive.
When something comes too close, the alarm dino triggers the dimorphs who then fly out, eat whatever it is that trigger the alarm dinos and fly back to the rider dino.
They level, collect loot and will kill everything.
I killed a level 120 Lightning wyvern from some guy who just got it when SE was released by firing a single long rifle shot and hitting the wyvern. ~50 Dimorphs flew out, ate the wyvern out from under the rider and then because he attacked them, they ate him as well. I got all the loot, he got a 1 way trip back to bed.
You can swap Dimorphs out with Vultures and Icthyornis as well, or mix and match for an episode of Alfred Hitchcock's "The birds"
IMO a very under-utilized dino in Ark

This is the sort of thing that the hand held transfer tool is made for, just set up one move all from dimorphs to yours/your mounts inventory and then you don't have to deal with it

I made a flock of 40 -50 (not near as mutated as this one) of these guys as a base defense force. any thing that approached the base disappeared. Be careful of dinos like giga with an AoE attack. Your flock can evaporate quick. We called it 'The Dird Cloud'. Dird = dino-bird
