Amazing videos! I’m a licensed esthetician & skin care/makeup instructor, currently studying as well for my Cosmetology Board exam in Florida. I’ll definitely share your videos with fellow colleagues, faculty & students. Thank you so much 😊
I am so glad you found the video useful! Take a look at the remainder of them as you prep for that state board. I try to cover as many topics as I can that will likely show up on a state exam. Most of my career was in Florida, so I know that test pretty darn well. :)
I was searching for a summary just like this! You made a perfect, compact and easy to comprehend presentation😍 thank you! now i can better understand what is good and bad for my hair
I know this is an older video & you might not read this but your videos are amazing,I’m learning g things that I never learned in class or just forgot & I’m actually remembering & retaining the info from this video!
This is a great condensed summary of this information from the text book . I'm sure my students will enjoy this. This information is sometimes hard to comprehend on the first time so this is a great!! thanks!!
Wow! This video answered a lot of my questions! Thaank you ❤️❤️ It would be great if you could make another video like this showing and explaining the chemical process of perms and keratin and protein treatments! (I’m looking forward for this one🥺)
Hi there! I am so glad it helped. There is already one on the channel discussing the chemistry of perms and relaxers. I have not done one focused on keratin/protein treatments yet, but will in the future. Check out the playlist Cosmetology Exam Review if you haven't, and you'll find a few videos on texture. :)
Thanks for such nice and fun videos to learn with and get prepared for real for the SB test, before all boring and useless to keep it in my brain, this amazing, now how do I get to those test that you talked about it, thanks so much
Im going into 8th grade and I am trying to learn more about hair because I have dry, frizzy, heat damaged, coarse, hair and I want to understand more about it so maybe it can change. Do you have any tips for me?
Can you do a video on bond builders? I know the notoriety of Olaplex has many companies wanting to make dupes, yet many of them don't use the same ingredients... I ask now because Matrix just recently dropped a line of 'bond building' home products, but the active ingredient is citric acid. It's also the 6th ingredient in Redken's Flash lift powder (the one that says it has a built in bond builder). I've seen it in a few neutralizing shampoos as well, but It Raises an eyebrow on how exactly does the sour chemical in lemon juice repair damaged hair... Apparently it works better than we originally thought besides just closing the cuticle layer.
Let me do a little research. As a stylist, I have always been to read and do as much research as possible. I've been focusing on fundamentals for students, but I can certainly do a more pro-centric one on bond builders. Its always so interesting when new "chemistry" comes out from the industry.
@@TheIntentionalClassroom it'll definitely help everyone. Students and consumers. I'm just noticing a trend. I've even seen an a stylist in Taiwan who used vinegar on freshly bleached hair to lessen the potential breakage. Seems like Citric, Malic and Acetic acid do more wonders for the hair than we originally thought.
