Stasi, Fred & Mike chose a classic (1964) Ian Tyson song which they updated and polished, making for a most melodic and listenable selection. Stasi sings it with a true and deep feeling for the lyrics. The pitch and tone of her voice is remarkable. Do yourself a favor and buy the CD "Colorado Gold" from which this cut was taken. There are many more fantastic Colorado-related songs with some tasty acoustic/electric pickin' I know you'll also enjoy. I certainly did.
Best version of this song (which is saying a lot) that has been covered by so many - I'll never get tired of your version. If I was still on the radio I would be playing it every night! 50,000 watts of playing this every night! !!!
Love the song, it's always been popular in my family. The chord progression is silk, we play it all the time. Lots of good versions out there but I've settled on this one. The band is tight. And when Staci says "he's ridin' in tonight". you know he's ridin' in that night.
I just went through a few legendary artists singing this song. This is superb. I first heard this song a very long time ago on Judy Collin's Album "Who Knows Where The Time Goes" and have loved it since. This young woman is fantastic.
I hear that Suzy Bogguss has 4.5 Octave voice. We may never hear another singer with that kind of voice again. I met her at the Twin Towers in the Summer of 2001. She struck as a very nice person.
@@InsigniaStudios My pleasure. You and your band did a fine job. As a lifelong Vancouverite and Western Canadian (Alberta) rancher, Ian Tyson hit all the marks for me. Summer Wages is also one of my favourites.
What an incredibly enjoyable selection from the "Colorado Gold" CD. Just a delight to hear Stasi's beautiful voice with guitar backing that does it justice from Fred and Mike.
Learned this song this way but I though Judy Collins did the same tune but whe I saw on TH-cam it was different.. and of course one of my favs singers, Suzy bogus it the best but I knew it was covered long ago🦋
I really enjoyed this. Keep it Country folks!! 👍🏻😊
Glad you enjoyed it! Cheers.
This Lady really brings a great presentation of an old song. I think this is the best version of it I've ever heard. 🥰
Wow... Really appriciate your kind comment!
Want to see talent like this heading to Branson now that Nashville is gone!!! Real country music 👍👍👍
Not an easy song to sing.Full of words.Excellent.Great musicians.
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed the video.
This song always brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. She sings it real good.
I think Staci's got the purest sweetest voice for this song ,by far. No BS just great singing
Great song. Hey vocalist--beauty! A lovely and soul-gripping sing voice. Keep on! ❤
If only one version could be preserved for singers and musicians in future generations, I think it should be this one.
Wow! What kind words.
This lady is right up there with Suzy Bogus ........... brilliant
Wow... What a nice thing to say! I am sure Stasi would be flattered.
The drummer is so strong in the pocket and makes it all hang together. One of the best steel players I have heard in a while. Great band!
They really do a great job! Thanks for watching the video.
I could tell from the opening guitar bars that this was going to be good...
Dreamy pedal steel.
@@skipacuff5104 yeah but where is it...??
@@skipacuff5104 and a dreamy lady... great combination!
Thank Ian Tyson for that.
@@direwolf6234 Could have been added after, as well as the vocals. They really only need the drums and rhythm tracks to support the vocalist.
Best version of this song that I have ever heard. She nails it!
You must live a sheltered life. She does ok but I would never give her a second listen on this or anything else.
@@zaneturner4478Keep your crap opinion to your self if you don’t have something better to say.
Beautiful version of this classic by Ian Tyson RIP

The death of radio DJs was the massive consolidation and syndication of our airwaves
Well, maybe you haven’t watched this rare gem: th-cam.com/video/Neb0-Cg6BCk/w-d-xo.html
I prefer Suzy Bogguss
It is filled with the longing of youth yet its adult
Beautiful performance of one the most touching ballads ever written for a woman.
perfectly produced and sung, love it!👍🏻
Glad you like it!
Love this song, keep it up beautiful girl
Excellente
Hello from BC Canada - love this version of Someday Soon!
Hello Canada! Appreciate you listening.
This song introduced me to Suzy Bogguss decades ago. It takes a special voice and control to nail this song. Stasi and the boys have done it!
Facts! 💯
the beautiful Crystal gayle said it first late of the 70s suzzy bogguss she said on the 90s
Awesome 😊
Love it...a beautiful song sung beautifully by a beautiful woman...tugs at my heart strings...
Beautiful voice, thank you old timers!

Great job on A great song by the Great Canadian Cowboy 👍

Cal me an old fogey(I'm 74) but I still think the original Ian & Sylvia & Judy Collins versions are the best. This was an excellent cover, however.
Well paced; fine harmonies; delightful! These folks know how it's done! * Cav *
I am sure the band appreciates the kind words! Thanks for watching.
Love your voice pretty lady! You rock this song! awesome!!
Best version I’ve heard.
Loved all of you
Stasi - just beautiful ! The song too !

We agree! Stasi is incredible.
I didn't really think anyone could do this better than Judy Collins (accompanied by Stephen Stills!) but this girl did.
It does not get better than this. Excellent
Loved it.
Very happy you liked it!
I like this version!
Very well done. I’m sure Ian Tyson, god rest his soul, would more than approve.
Beautiful cover of an all time favorite
We would have to agree with you!
This is "real good" but no one I have heard yet can hit that last high note like Suzy Bogguss.
You are so right about that. Love that Suzy Bogguss version the best, but this ain't bad.
I hear that Suzy Bogguss has 4.5 Octave voice. We may never hear another singer with that kind of voice again. I met her at the Twin Towers in the Summer of 2001. She struck as a very nice person.
No. Bogus is Bogus Ian and Sylvia definitive version then Emmylou
Bogus and Collins last
If you haven’t heard it yet, check out Judy Collins’ 1968 version. Bonus track: Steven Stills’ on lead guitar.
I love it!
Glad you love it Melvin!
I am stunned. This is greatness!
By far the best rendition on TH-cam...and the prettiest lady !
